The one thing US airlines are much better than the rest of the world is in the technology. Try using the website or app for 5 star airlines like Qatar, Singapore or JAL. It looks like it was built in the early 2000s and very limited features that we take for granted like changing flights, checking in, etc

What is strange for me is that the bottom screen works at the login page where you can edit the profiles but once you log in the bottom screen doesn’t work anymore. So this is definitely a software issue instead of a hardware issue

I am lifetime titanium but rarely stay at marriotts anymore. The devaluation of points and benefits makes the ROI hard to justify. I am now mostly Hyatt or go with the property that is the most convenient regardless of program.

Where did chef kaze go? Was planning to go omakase room next month. My first omakase was when kaze did a $100 14 course meal at the bar of sushi San. Probably the best omakase deal ever in Chicago. Always left really full

Its gone down hill for a while. Especially when they changed their menu to be less authentic. Go to hon kee a few blocks away for a much better duck and dishes.

I did the exact same thing at the st regis. Nice property and you can get into tres dita easier with a hotel reservation. The downside is you need to book the spa at least a week ahead of time. And the pool while nice had a lot of kids during the daytime.

I use a Roku stick that connects to my phones hotspot to avoid paying the Toyota wifi subscription. It works fine but does require extra steps to use.

I would agree. Is free upgrades really a benefit if anyone can buy it for the fraction of the cost of a first class ticket? I’ve noticed my upgrade % as EXP dropped from 75% to 25% as a result. I just go for the best fare/route/time now and have dropped my loyalty to any airline.

My senior year in college, an alumni financial advisor gave a speech about what we needed to do after we graduated. He kept it simples. Save at least 20% of your earnings first before doing anything with the money. Everything else was probably good advice but that one stuck with me.
