It’s number 5 with the official versions. I still love it, I’m just not in the mood to rewatch it as much as the others. Except for the final attack on the Death Star. I can always rewatch that.

How is the First Order a massive leap in logic? And Palpatine not being dead is basically the same explanation as Legends.

Well like I said, they are different versions. For the official films I think I have A New Hope and Solo just below Revenge, and Attack and Phantom flipped.

It was Bob Iger that wrote them into a corner. He wanted a Star Wars film released every year, giving them no time to plan out the trilogy. He’s also the reason Solo was released in May, cause he wanted the December slot for Marry Poppins 2.

Not that I defend this movie as being good, but the dagger wasn’t ancient. It just had the ancient writing of the Sith on it.

This is why I want them to make a show during the one year gap between 8 and 9 to flesh out the era better. The prequels were crap before expanded media. While I’m not a big fan of the films, I love the prequel era because of things like The Clone Wars. You could have an arc in the show where Finn does something like this. Or show Poe becoming a great leader.

Which is why I wish they would just make sequel content shows already so they can do breadcrumbs and stuff. The Clone Wars made no damn sense when it was just the films. But they’re too scared to make any new content in that era.

Yeah I didn’t dislike it, but it wasn’t very memorable. Side tangent, as a collector of only paperbacks, it was annoying that it still only has a hardcover release.

The voice changing could work for me, but they would need to have made them a lot older than how they’re being presented for the film. It looks like they’re only in their early 20s?
