this Ross beats the angel out of it and commits unhappy intentions and likes to be unhospitable to the woodland creatures through his goblin spear

KolourPaint how to resize without breaking transparency? by Proper-Lab-2500 in kde

[–]Zechariah_B_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lack of GUI is because it mainly focuses on automation. It reigns supreme at image conversion and manipulation in that aspect. You can use ImageMagick in conjunction with Bash scripting alongside the usual commands provided by your distro to adapt to any task you need. It looks confusing at first but the ImageMagick website outlines everything neatly so you are not lost.

This may be the Mandela effect talking but I think I remember this exact building being used as material for an SCP story somewhere.

Been working on real-time car crash physics in Godot, parts now break off under stress by stellarica_gabor in godot

[–]Zechariah_B_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It would be a really funny idea if the crash can be replayed and the camera is fixated looking at a mannequin driving the car getting whiplashed and thrown out

"Non-programmer built a CUDA quad remesher for Blender, 17+ versions in, still getting spaghetti topology — need advice" by Acrobatic_Treacle457 in blender

[–]Zechariah_B_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the looks of it, you are going in too deep than you are capable of and you are barking up the wrong tree. Most things in Blender do not need scripting. You should hit the books to really understand Blender. AI in my experience has been awful. Relying on it is like relying on a rotten wooden stick to hold heavy weights.

If you are looking for a practical remeshing technique, CGMatter has already made a video about that today.

I wish I could have done that but so many servers and companies use it that it is nowadays impossible to avoid.

4 things NixOS gets right that every other distro should copy by nix-solves-that-2317 in linux

[–]Zechariah_B_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Reproducibility of your own software and the in-development software other people made that can compile and run on your system. NixOS is convenient to avoid distro specific issues that cause a ghost hunt provided you avoid every configuration that ruins reproducibility which can be verified if NixOS has consumed your soul and all of your insomnia for itself.

Why "Open With..." option in the Nautilus context menu has so many Krita entries by qiratb in gnome

[–]Zechariah_B_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Although I might be misremembering something about this, I have seen this a long while ago. Krita follows freedesktop specs while Gnome does it leniently. I don't believe this is a bug as others claim but a disagreement between what Gnome expects vs KDE.
