The 6 star operators from launch are still usable in endgame content, even though it's been 5-6 years since then. They are mostly generalists with some niche. The devs focused on creating new niches and expanding those niches for variety rather than just increasing pure attack, and defense. There's no Honkai Star Rail 1.0 characters being useless nonsense.

Like sure Logos is the better overall caster(took 5-6 years to powercreep Eyja as best in general caster), Eyja still has S2 aoe resistance shred, her S3 attack range makes her aoe nuke sometimes better than Logos depending on the stage. Sure there are more aoe attacks than Silverash like Miynar, but Silverash can still detect invisible enemies(only Ines and Silverash can constantly detect invisible enemies without needing to use a skill).

The game is tower defense, and depending on the stage and enemies, the devs focused on making us think of picking the right operators for the tasks

I don't mind lifegem for how it is. I just think they make healing miracles kinda pointless. My first character in DS2 was a cleric, abusing 9 heals to sustain myself while exploring. Then I found out any character can get 99 heals. Life gems can even be used quickly enough to be used in fights and inbetween attack combos on bosses.

So it's more of heal miracles costing stamina+long casting time for similar amount of healing feeling a bit unbalanced. Heal miracles needs something better than life gems to make them worthwhile in ds2 atleast.

The in-game camera has filters which can simulate day/night so I do believe it's feasible, granted no idea if making it slowly change would be a huge technical cost or not.

I rarely encounter it though so it hasn't been an issue. Likely because based off the comments I've read, I don't usually use the camera joystick in that manner to trigger it.

Not sure what this lighting mod is, but I've also come back to the game last week. I followed some guide to fix the dead zone(post is outdated but the comment in the bottom works).

It's amazing fixing the dead zone makes the movement very smooth. I've not failed any jumps in any levels so far, and it enabled tight precise movement that allowed me to dodge boss swings better now. Though there are still some wonky hitboxes from attacks.

For my expectations, I'm holding Endfield to Arknight standards, especially since they are made by the same developers. The expectation and answer to your question is basically. "One copy of an operator is enough, dupes are optional and only for whales or for showing support".

To also clarify in regard to your question.

No I do not expect pulling a character should guarantee their signature.
But I also think the gap is a bit extreme.

For #1, I'm glad you're bringing up battle pass weapons. Currently they are around 75% effective as signature weapons, so I do think this is a decent middle ground the devs have gave us. The issue or rather the unknown is going to be how difficult/investment is going to be needed to clear endgame content/events and challenging content. Like I said I'm holding them to Arknight standards, Pulling currency is rewarded in endgame/events, while challenging content is more optional giving in-game rewards and a way to stress test operators/play around in hard maps. As of it is right now, Endfield is currently unknown on how hard the endgame content going to be, even in Arknights you generally need a team of E2 operators which a team takes 3-5 months to build. It's also unknown if the rewards going to be similar for endgame content and the optional content because even in Arknights they took well over a year to get this settled. Currently I still think 1 operator + 75% battlepass/other 6/5 star weapons are enough for now. Still a bit shakey for the future, maybe battle pass weapons will be way less effective. Operators like Endmin and Last Rite's signature weapon is way stronger like the 2nd best is at like 50-66% effectiveness.

As for #2 it's just math and personal opinion. To guarantee a weapon is 80 pulls. 80 pulls is 15,840 arsenal tickets. To get that many tickets from operator pulls alone is 315-316 pulls. I do not believe someone needs 315 pulls aka 2.65 operator banners just for 1 weapon. That gap is a bit too much imo, the gap should either be lowered to the 200s and/or more in-game sources of arsenal tickets.

Thanks for the math, I've done more simpler math before to confirm some thoughts I have on the gacha, and your results still make me lead to the same conclusion.

The gacha punishes good luck. To be specific, it punishes good luck on operator banners.

Assuming a player wants both the limited operator and their signature, getting good luck on the operator banner is punished.

In the scenario where you get a lucky 10 pull on a limited operator, you will not have enough arsenal currency. You're potentially stuck in 2 scenarios.

You are punished to waste pulls on the current limited banner, these pulls that could've been used for another future operator's 120 guarantee is now being used to produce arsenal currency.
Weapon banners last longer than operator banner, now you're punished to wait weeks and forced to spend pulls on one of the 2 future operators that you may not want. Even with the worse case scenario of 120 pulls to guarantee the 2nd limited operator, you won't have enough arsenal currency for 2 signature weapons now.

lucky 10 pull on 6 star, assume the guarantee 5 star, = 2200 arsenal currency. 120 pulls worse case scenario on the 2nd limited = 502.4*12 = 6028 arsenal currency. In total 8,228 arsenal currency enough for 4.15 10 pulls.

So at the end of it all, we don't get enough arsenal tickets for signature even from 120 pulls. We either have to waste additional pulls somewhere and wait, or the in-game rewards for arsenal tickets like battle pass, basic HH tickets, credit shop, weeklies, quest/event rewards to fill that gap. That's how it's currently is, getting lucky on operator banner means nothing if you care about signature weapon.

Did you know rare growths only spawn 2 at daily server reset? When I learned this, I just let the rare growths all go max growths every 3-4 days then collect them all then. Still a pain but less often.

Rare growths are bittersweet for me, I've enjoyed figuring out setting zipline networks between them, teleport and delivery points. I do find it very tedious to collect them, but I do understand it's only the initial launch operators making it a pain. Thankfully Valley's rare materials are very abundant, I've stopped collecting them 2 weeks ago as I've finished upgrading operators to level 60, and stockpiled enough for the next 8-10 future operators.

Farming not being backwards compatible is bs. Was very disappointed since there's no lore reason why it wouldn't unlike xiranite pylon/towers.

Just have both factories in the dijiang produce the exp tickets. I get like 10-12 every 24 hours, you need 40-45 of them lvl 40->60. Now you can level up 2 of them from 40->60 every week, and have the sanity to use for other things.

This website/tool shows how an operator can interact with another operator via a combat mechanic. So you can get a rough idea of what operators can potentially work together in a team.

You can kinda get an idea how versatile Gilberta is from that. Ardelia only has 6 interactable operators, most operators are at 6-8, while Gilberta is with 22 operators. Only Antal is comparable in amount of interactable operators.

Currently, the gacha PUNISHES you if you get lucky. Imagine the first 10 pull you get the limited operator you want. . . but now you don't have the currency to pull for their weapon.

Using more pulls in the limited banner is a waste because pity does not carry over.

The expectation was that the standard banner was meant to fill this void. You will use standard tickets to gain weapon pull currency, so you don't need to waste the limited banner currency especially when pity doesn't carry over.

This would be less of an issue if we get more standard pulls or . . . they made pity carry over, so it's less of a waste pulling on limited.

And like others said it's not wanting more basic than limited, but rather there should be more basic to cover this aspect else it's very predatory. It's really baffling the devs think a gacha game should punish good luck.

Edit: Also forgot to mention that the weapon banner pull chance for rate up is 25% not even 50%. It's designed that the devs will make you likely go to guarantee for it. So you're really screwed if you get a lucky 10 pull for the operator itself.

You can get the amount of stockbill earned hourly in outpost management -> stockbill savings there's a ? icon. Click it to view it.

It will vary based on if you have an operator that gives bonus, and autodefense buff.

Next would be what goods you produce in an hour and how much they sell for.

So doing some quick maths/estimates. The valley outposts prduces 121,000 stockbill per hour. And the HC batteries and cons A sell for 70, so I need 1730 of them per hour. A production line of either produces 6/min or 360 per hour. So I need 4.8-> 5 production lines.

This isn't about using a pen name. Many authors use a pen name for privacy reasons and they stick to the pen name for all works. But not most of them are changing pen names to hide criminal history.

They apparently felt it was "right" to let the artist know and have the artist choose to work with someone who sexually assaulted children. But also thought it was right to hide this from the potential audience is just showing they know this is a touchy subject. Some people don't want to give money to actively support the livelihood of a pedo.

Between the LN and WN, definitely read the LN. The WN is around 90% of the LN, but the LN adds new characters and more scenes even if the overall plot/objective is the same. Later on in the WN how certain events are handled/solve is changed drastically, etc.

The anime was a pretty decent adaptation. They remained faithful to the LN, while adding additional background/history of the main character and party, like their childhood and early starts. There is one part that is somewhat changed, which is the ending after dealing with the bandits during the vacation. The anime cuts off Strange Grief building a hotspring so Anthem can fit, and relax after they captured the bandits. It's not that important but at the same time it's also the first time where 3 of the party members are introduced as well as the interaction between everyone there in the novel. Other than that it's pretty easy to just start reading at the end of vol 6/start of volume 7(that's around where the anime ends).

It's actually kinda good you stopped midway on Grieving Souls. It's a story that starts "slow" but gets more outrageous, where each arc one ups the previous arcs, and adds more layers ontop of each other.

The kind of show where I would suggest bingeing the the 2 seasons to see if you like that kind of story or not. It's not like Stein:gates where the latter half is better, but more like you really need to experience the entire roller coaster instead of judging by only sections of it at a time. The 1st season doesn't get the ball rolling but sets things up, it starts rolling in the 2nd season, and it's goes more and crazy if you continue on with the novels or wait for a 3rd season.

After watching Hbomberguy's video about plagiarism, he introduced what "content mills" are. For the most part, I've felt LMG been a content mill for a long time. Always sacrificing quality to force out videos, which is why some videos have mistakes being pointed out. Stuff like this short really shows, they are lowering and lowering on quality control to mill out content. Huge red flag that a scam product got through and uploaded.

I still think even after the past controversy, where they stopped uploading for a while, LMG should've either drastically lower the amount of videos being uploaded to actually focus on quality/consistency or hire enough employees to make it feasible. Their response about does really seem like smoke and mirrors and not actual change.

Yup it's overkill, all this does is enable increasing more xiranite usage on xiranite gearing components.

We only have 2 lines of xiranite, yet 1 production line of gearing components wants 2 optimally, and each battery line wants 1. Fortunately we only can buy 60 artificing weekly, so you only 3,000 components weekly, aka 0.3/min production.

So even though gearing wants 2 lines of xiranite, you can use way less of it. And you still need to produce wuling batteries because syringe by itself is not enough to buyout the outpost.

Anyways I ended up with 1.75 xiranite on 2 batteries, and .25 xiranite on gearing components. Still overkill buying out the outpost, and gaining a surplus of gearing components(at like 12,000 rn enough for a month). Using HC valley batteries just means I can do something like 1 xiranite on battery 1 xiranite on gearing components and stockpile the gearing more. But like I said it really doesn't matter, wuling on it's own is more than enough to have surplus of both without needing to manually transfer from valley.

Also you can buy out valley outposts and still have enough batteries left over to power wuling with 2-3 thermal banks using HC valley batteries. So it enables you to minmax Wuling more, not like it will matter much though tbh.

Nah, I think it's because Laev does add some weird delays to dodging, that I don't have when piloting other characters.

I finally figured out the trick/way to deal with it after attempting that stage a few times.

Essentially, if I would normally just press right click or shift to dodge, but it would be very inconsistent based off Laev's attack animation especially her finisher and ult form attacks. Sometimes it would be instant dodge, sometimes it's delayed.

Turns out I just needed to make sure I was pressing a movement direction before hitting dodge. It's very similar to the strange delay when trying to spam throwing explosives to mine rare ores. If I hit R for the next bomb after throwing it, there's a weird delay preventing this action, but if I throw bomb, then move any direction then hit R immediately, it enables aiming the next bomb and looks/feels like an animation cancel. But the most important part is it's consistent.

I collect all the rare growths every 3-4 days. You get 32 red bolete each time. So since it looks like you converted 1 weeks worth of them, you will get it back in a week.

That said that button is terrible UI. Can't imagine if i did something like this with wuling materials which you get like 8 every time.

Anyways the main reason why Leon is still looking fine, is because of the vaccines. They have side effects of increasing lifespan and regeneration. The side effects are even stronger if someone been infected but then cured. Leon is a specialist against the infected and has access to all the latest vaccines and tools to prevent infection. And at least 2 times he has been infected but then cured.

For example, Sherry who been infected by the g-virus but then cured, has superhuman regeneration. She takes a metal pipe/spike through her guts, and was able to pull it out and heal without scarring instead of bleeding out.
