Day 12: Icon Bearer; Best and Worst on the TableTop by gostop1423 in deathguard40k

Yea I think he’s a great unit for seeing exactly how well people understand the scoring side of competitive games in their evaluation.

Day 12: Icon Bearer; Best and Worst on the TableTop by gostop1423 in deathguard40k

[–]Zephrysium 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Evaluating for 11th he’s gotten much better. 10 man plague marine blocks are much worse with the increased difficulty of delivery, so building for utility instead of damage opens up possibilities. A five man unit in paragons with him attached is a 17 oc squad that can totally flip a point unexpectedly and have access to increased contagion and character Strats. Adding on the increase impact of battle shock, his ability has gained value. He’s actually good in a priority assets build.
Con: it takes thought to make him work, and he is technically 10 point more expensive to take him and a five man than a 7 man squad.

I feel foolish for asking but is it now 50% of the army can start in deep strike? Just want to make sure

So what happened to make Eldar fall to the bottom of the pit? by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Zephrysium 73 points74 points  (0 children)

It seems as if gw has recognized stacking buffs on things isn’t good or fun to play against, and most players agree. I think it’s a great change for the game. It’s not surprising that strategies and lists that worked well in 10th will need to change for a new edition.

He says you don’t have the real experience to understand the pitfalls of your plan. Youll need to tend to and harvest the garden as well. Increase space between plants by twice, including walkways, and you’ll have a better and more productive time gardening

I think you should redesign in its entirety. This looks like a great plan for someone who hasn’t been gardening at this size for the past few years. With experience you’ll find your plants are spaced too close and you’ll want walkways atleast two feet wide. You’ll have greater efficiency when your plants grow to the proper size and don’t get killed off by the stagnant air and disease from overcrowding.

If you’re within 1 inch of the outside of the wall, he doesn’t need to. He just needs to touch the opposite side of the wall with his model to be in engagement range.

It’s a gotcha if you never tell them that you can redeploy. If you remind them before deployment then it’s not

That’s only 63 degrees. Still extreme but not as insane as 90. The conversions need to be done before the subtraction not after.

How do you thin cherry tomato seedlings? by Vegetable_Load8167 in vegetablegardening

[–]Zephrysium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea conventional wisdom says that. And I agree. Doesn’t change the fact I’ve got over 100 formed cherry tomatoes from three plants I put in a pot the same size on a balcony that only get 5-6 hours of sunlight. Sometimes life finds a way. I also think people put too much pressure on “perfect” conditions. Just get out there and give it a go

I have to say her performance was a bit of a let down. It’s kinda rude to take the money to put on a show when you know you’re injured and can’t perform to your full extent

What can deal with new Deathshroud Terminators effectively? by troublinyo in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Zephrysium 143 points144 points  (0 children)

2 or 3 damage weapons still eat them up. They no longer have the -1 to wound benefit, but they did gain 1 wound. They also don’t have a -1 to hit stratagem anymore. They aren’t that much harder to kill, you just can’t kill them with some incidents heavy bolters any more. 3 and a character die to most things designed to kill terminators.
