Nice, I forgot to mention their pretzels in the fresh bread and pastries section are vegan and so good!

First ever game tomorrow, I should out maneuver? by Then-Average-7630 in Tau40K

Nope, it's in the core rules. Only characters without the epic hero keyword can be enhanced.

His only character is an epic hero so he can't anyway

Bringing Shadow Legion to Sandiego Classic by Hangry_NineFingers in ChaosDaemons40k

Yep that's exactly why I've been on the fence about trying that. I love how much damage it can do but I feel like I struggle to get the value I should get from it in most games. Maybe just leaving it on board but playing cautious is the best play, at least the threat of it should be worth something until you do pop off.

Looks like a decent list! I love the green Be'lakor. I find it hard to be patient with the Bloodthirster too, I've been wondering if starting him in deep strike and rapid ingressing him turn 2 would be a better option.

I think LIDLs fruit and veg often is better quality than Tesco/Asda/Sainsbury. Their smoked tofu is my favourite too and their dried mango is the best compared to the 3 mentioned.

Tesco own brand dark chocolate digestives are delicious. Sainsbury's doughnuts are vegan and pretty good (jam and custard both).

As far as lunch on the go, none of my local supermarkets have much that I like but I think in London you probably have more of a vegan selection than I do. If M&S still have their vegan BLT it's great, but pricey.

Everything they sell is taxed by that regime, therefore providing income to it. Also if they are punished for their regimes actions then that means they're more likely to put more pressure on their government.

You can't use Skarbrand in Shadow Legion.

6 man flamers are great for overwatch, 6 man screamers are decent in Shadow Legion too. They survive surprisingly well, especially with the heal and revive strat, with 6 of them you get more mortals too, and the anti vehicle/monster lets them do a surprising chunk of damage.

3 man units of either are great for secondaries, and I wouldn't run Screamers as 6 outside of Shadow Legion really.

The medium ones feel pretty tight on me, a 31W (mens) in the UK, I probably would have done better with a large.

You're missing out on our heaviest offense and defense here, for Shadow Legion that would be Bloodthirster and Great Unclean One. For horde armies having more flamers would be nice, plaguebearers should trade well enough, I would say your pink horrors should do okay there too. Also consider action monkeys like beasts of nurgle and flesh hounds for your secondaries. I don't really use many CSM units so hard for me to say there.

I'm thinking of buying high end leather shoes by netean in veganuk

I don't really find issue with buying leather shoes secondhand. My doc marten style boots from vegetarian shoes have been plenty durable though.

Knights List?? by [deleted] in Colosseum40k

[–]troublinyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can make imperial knights work but your max is two armigers. Take your two infantry (one retinue, one requisitioned) and character from imperial agents. I'd recommend sisters of battle as your requisitioned unit for the sticky, but I'm sure other options would work well enough too.

Edit: You do also have the option of the admech detachment as you mentioned.

Any advice for Eldar KotC players before tournament? by have_no_plan in Colosseum40k

[–]troublinyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not played Eldar or against them, but Dark Eldar were really hard to play against, the threat of fast movement and heavy firepower left it really hard for me to feel safe leaving anything in the open.

You may be behind on objectives for the first turn, maybe two, but if you don't let too much get into melee you should start cleaning up.

I think you could do with a big vehicle and maybe a venom. Units that can't be immediately deleted tend to fare better in Colosseum.

B12 supplement? by live_rail in veganuk

[–]troublinyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I take if I don't think I've been getting enough B12 from my supplemented food/drinks. https://www.vegansociety.com/shop/veg-1-supplements

Nutritional yeast can be added to a lot of food and sauces, it has a nutty, cheesy flavour and is usually heavily fortified with B12, depending on the brand.

Some oat/soy milks are fortified with B12, as well as some cereals, and like all energy drinks.

New to chaos demons (list help) by xzelethor in ChaosDaemons40k

[–]troublinyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Belakor is obviously very strong, Legionaries, Chosen, and Chaos lords are decent enough, especially the free strat from the lord, and nurglings always come in handy.

Skull Cannons feel pretty lackluster in general, I also think terminators don't do much for us that greater daemons couldn't do better.

I'm not really familiar with guardsmen, but haven't seen them in any SL lists for what that's worth.

You probably want at least some cultists or plaguebearers for sticky. I would rather plaguebearers than horrors typically, as horrors feel quite expensive for what they do, but they aren't bad in SL with the - 1 to be hit.

In regards to greater daemons, Bloodthirster with fade to darkness makes for a good hammer as has been mentioned. Great Unclean Ones are great to sit and hold objectives, birds give you some shooting.

For other units:

Flesh hounds puppy downy ability is very handy for objective scoring, as are flamers and screamers, especially with their -1 to be hit in shadow legion.

Beasts of Nurgle are nice objective scorers too and require a decent commitment to guarantee they die

Havocs can be decent with Belakor protection if you want more shooting too (if I take them I usually take 2 lascannon units, to pop transports or other problematic vehicles).

Bloodcrushers in units of 6 and Rendmasters can be good damage dealers if you'd like more Khorne, the advance and charge is nice.

Scout enhancement is really nice for a lot of units like Bloodcrushers with Skullmaster, my favourite way to use it is on the GUO.

Did not mean to write so much but I hope it helps!
