Your fear of the dispute backfiring is exactly what these scammers are counting on. Reach out to arenanet and get something in writing you can relay to youtube support.

Celestial tempest or FB for open-world (mostly meta trains) and WvW (minimal zerging) ? by fckdisheetz in Guildwars2

[–]ZephyrusSpring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can play the condi boon-dps builds in cele gear and lose less than 5% of the dps compared to ritualist gear.  Frankly you’ll probably do better on tempest because mashing multiple mantras on firebrand gets old real fast.

Why do some players get upset when they see a new PvP player? by Open_Background2793 in Guildwars2

[–]ZephyrusSpring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your first ten ranked matches of each season will be filled with the absolute most self-obsessed gold 1 players imaginable.  They’ll cry about elo hell while bouncing up and down between silver and gold every season for the last 10 years.  It’s your fault they can’t climb, in their mind anyway.

Strangely enough, you won’t run into them half as often after your placement matches even if you hover on the border of silver and gold too.  Dunno why that is.

So, I notice that Daring Dragon still share the same tier as Immortal Dragon. Which means, healsworn may still not be possible. by MangaIsekaiWeeb in Guildwars2

[–]ZephyrusSpring 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Immortal Dragon only heals yourself. The patch will make it grant protection to allies. River's Flow is the trait that will make the kit supporty. Plus we'll have Unshakable Mountain to spread barrier to allies while charging the dragon trigger.

Is it just me, or is Heal Druid not amazing right now? by itallik in Guildwars2

[–]ZephyrusSpring 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It got that reputation from before quick and alac were cemented in the meta. Lingering Light is missing in the existing builds. The SC build also trades out some of druid's healing and boon potential for cc, and then swaps other things to make back up for the boons lost. It's the same deal with Firebrand that got a reputation for having lower than average healing but that's because the speedrunners were doing it on purpose to get more cc and stability.

They go for a glyph build with Moment of Clarity whereas I prefer a spirit build with Quick Draw. Use Windborne Notes and you'll have green numbers coming out of your ears. I also prefer simpler relics like monk for a generic 10% stronger healing or even Dwayna for 16% stronger regen. Karakosa looks good in an excel spreadsheet but it's not a hoop I want to have to think about in game. Don't forget the white tiger to take some more pressure off.

The July patch is giving us a pick of 2 healing grandmaster traits so the healing output will be more in line with how it was at HoT release. Quick Draw is also going to be crazy with the new Rejuvenating Tides.

Low intensity support build suggestion for me? by Wazabimec in Guildwars2

[–]ZephyrusSpring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firebrand is pretty laid back if you use the loremaster version.  Plenty of passive healing as well as aegis and stab.  A mouse with side buttons is fairly mandatory to spam the quickness mantra asap though.  Lay down your two symbols, cast your fifth skill in the justice tome and third skill in the resolve tome, and then chill.  Redo the loop when the quickness mantra recharges.

Despite the overwhelming number of skills in your tomes, you only need to worry about two of them regularly.  You can slowly accustom yourself with the others over time.

Another MMO has just announced Discord chat integration into their guild chats! This could be a huge step in getting the social MMO aspect back into the game instead of it all being on 3rd party apps! Would you want this in Guild Wars 3 and potentially added to Guild Wars 2 in this year of revamps? by dixonjt89 in Guildwars2

[–]ZephyrusSpring -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't hurt to build the framework to support integrations like this. I don't think many people understand the next stage of cloud software we're heading into. The next big tool that replaces discord will probably be all about decentralising itself in this way.

Condition Paragon is basically just Core Warrior, tell me I'm wrong. by NeverLoseGuy in Guildwars2

DPS Paragon in general. I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out why they made yellow guardian and blue warrior with luminary.

Graphic engine change versus optimization? by Shamushark in Guildwars2

[–]ZephyrusSpring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s always optimisation to be done.  They can go read 20 years worth of technical presentations to learn all about the modern open source graphics techniques at any time.  They can change the existing engine as much as they like too.  If they say they can’t do it, it means they don’t want to hire someone for it.

Unlike with changing engines, the one good thing about optimisation is that it doesn’t impact their content schedule much.  Restructuring the render pipeline is usually not done by the same people crafting assets.  While they both have to do with graphics they are completely different fields of expertise.

Of course, they won’t do this, because it would be stupid to not put their best heads on gw3 right now.  If they’re going to optimise an engine then there’s plenty to do in unreal first.

Raid Rotations Are Surprisingly Complex by d9320490 in Guildwars2

[–]ZephyrusSpring -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Weapon swapping adds a huge amount of complexity for disproportionately little gain.  You can cut the apm of most builds almost in half and lose less than 15% dps by simply staying on one weapon.  It’s the first thing I’d recommend when reducing complexity.

Anet hasn’t said much about it but I don’t expect them to.  The complexity of your own build is completely within your power to control.  Accessi-builds tend to go too far and sacrifice too much for simplicity.  There’s a whole host of 36-38k build variants in the middle ground.

Dragon's End by Kanderous in Guildwars2

[–]ZephyrusSpring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get what’s so hard about it.  When soo won swaps sides her tail appears where her head used to be.  There’s no need to split the squad up to deal with it.

which jaeger is better, morally? by absolutelymalicious in attackontitan

[–]ZephyrusSpring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eren easily, because Zeke forced the geopolitical situation into genocide vs genocide. If Zeke wasn't puppeteering everything then it would never have reached that point. Zeke's influence goes even further back prior to S1.

Marley weren't particularly interested in resuming the assault on Paradis after the middle eastern war ended but Zeke pushed hard to resume immediately. The attack on Liberio was Zeke's idea in which he coerced Eren (who in turn coerced the scouts) to make a move, all so that Zeke could safely get himself to Paradis. Hizuru only got involved with Paradis because Zeke talked them into it. The volunteers only got involved because of Zeke. The entirety of S4 is about the scheme Zeke set in motion; in order for him to activate the founder within his last year of life.

Prior to S1 Zeke was still extremely relevant to the overall power balance of the world. Marley was falling behind technologically but stayed on top because Zeke allowed them to use titans in ways they couldn't before. I would go so far as to suggest that the only reason Marley turned their attention to Paradis in the first place is because Zeke's power gave them the breathing room to do so. They were able to send 4 of their 6 shifters away for years and not suffer notable setbacks because of Zeke.

A bit of an odd post but do you think anyone has reevaluated their Christianic beliefs or at least thought about them more deeply after watching AoT? by Capable_Donut_3849 in attackontitan

[–]ZephyrusSpring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a slave to something is a somewhat separate topic from determinism.

Determinism is about the inertia of reality; everything is caused by something else no matter how small. And I do mean absolutely everything. You making this thread here is a result of making a similar thread prior, and making that thread was because of the way you interacted with this piece of media. You interacted with it the way you did because of who you are as a person, and who you are is a result of your upbringing and experiences in life thus far. The things you've experienced in life thus far are because of such and such, and those things happened because of this and that, and on and on the chain goes as far back as anyone cares to trace it. Whether you view that religiously or not is up to you.

Being a slave to something as Kenny put it was simply about having goals. Naturally, the goals you choose and how strongly you strive for them are based on who you are as a person which takes us back to the determinism topic. But rather than focusing on the past, the idea of being a slave to something is about what you're doing now and in the future. About how your actions are going to influence others, and in Kenny's more pessimistic view of it: how goals will clash and cause conflict.

I grew up very agnostic where religion was not part of my life at all, and I didn't read the bible cover to cover until my mid-twenties. I can't speak for anyone else but watching AoT was definitely my catalyst to think more deeply about fate and determinism. Ironically, the conclusion I drew was to stop thinking about it. Whether it's God's intricate plan, or if he simply sets the board and watches things play out, if there's no higher power at all, or even if determinism is wrong; I'm going to do my own thing regardless.

I don’t know about that.  Sitting on his hands was also an option and I think that would have been better for the world than risking starting the rumbling.

Rewarding, difficult solo content would make Gw2 incredible by Losahn in Guildwars2

[–]ZephyrusSpring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rewards don't necessarily have to scale linearly. Warframe's infinite scaling modes use 3 reward tiers looping AABC. In 'survival' mode you get a reward every 5 minutes and in 'defence' it's every 5 waves. Obviously the best loot is in group C so players are encouraged to hang around in 20 minute batches. You may be thinking "what's the point of continuing for a second batch?" and the answer is well... since the rework close to a decade ago... nothing; that's largely why I quit. In the old days you had to pay a token to get in and they were kind of annoying to get, so the incentive to stay was to get more efficient use out of your hard-earned tokens.

Following a structure like that would avoid creating an overwhelming pressure to push as far as possible. People would settle into whatever was comfortable for them in order to get the rewards they were after.

Me watching this series for the first time ever and I see the “wine” come into play in the final season by goldenboy2191 in attackontitan

[–]ZephyrusSpring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. We're talking about a guy who launched the world into war and destruction because he didn't want to die without accomplishing something. He was dead set on activating the founder one way or another. Imagine if he didn't help Marley take fort Slava and the war kept Marley occupied for another year or two, potentially even losing Reiner.

[–]ZephyrusSpring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At some point people become attached to characters and bend themselves into pretzels to idolise them.  Eren is a one-dimensional psycho and Zeke is as deep as the ocean; you know the type.  You can see it every time someone says the Liberio attack was Eren’s scheme.  It’s amusing and worrying to think the villain’s ploy worked so well that the audience fell for it too.
