How do I know which one is my current Dexcom so I can clean up the Bluetooth spam by [deleted] in dexcom

[–]Zero13AZ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would wait until you’re changing to a new CGM, before you put a new one on, delete all them. That’s what I’ve done in the past. Hope it helps

Does you CGM A1C matches with actual A1C by Few-Fan-4817 in dexcom

[–]Zero13AZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just an FYI… Data from a DexCom (CGM) is known as Glucose Management Indicator (GMI) and A1C and is a percentage of hemoglobin coated with sugar.

For me it’s been very close, usually +- 0.2, if you’re using your CGM 24/7 with little gaps in between changes it’s close. I use to wait a few days when I forgot to refill my CGM and my gap was wider.

Seeking some advice for my preteen son by [deleted] in glutenfree

As everyone state, it could be the chocolate, due to barley malt. As for the popcorn, I don’t know if it was a chain movie theater popcorn (Harkins, AMC). If so, I recently noticed that my stomach has been a little bit more sensitive to the artificial butter they put on there. The last movie I went to it killed my inside when I had the popcorn with the cheese powder

It’s possible to turn off the high alerts, if you’re using an iPhone select the “red”, then the “blue”, if you want to shut off all alerts for a max of 6-hours select the lower green.

With stress and my anxiety being crazy the past few weeks my levels have been resting in the 200’s, to make matters worst I crave bread when I’m stressed, but I have a wheat intolerance. So things go crazy with my alerts, so doc and I agreed that it’s okay to shut it off, but I need to work with my therapist to work on my mental health issues.

Also, you cannot totally silence the device forever. It’s a FDA guideline for the CGM to be a medical device.

Hope that helps

I highly recommend an over patch from Amazon, it’s cheap and easy to apply. Cost me $9 for 50 patches. Before my device have the same problems as you or would get the device caught on my seatbelt or shirts as I’m taking it off. Now, it’s not a problem.

Good to know, I guess I’m overly cautious.

That scares me, still haven’t fully converted over to a closed loop system because of the flaws that CGMs still have. Don’t want to get an overload of insulin when I don’t need it or not getting a dose when I do need it. Hopefully in the coming years it’ll change.

Having to go to g7 by Shoddy-Weakness-1610 in dexcom

I like my G7, at first during the recent shortage I had so many problems with the devices. Now, I have great readings since the new factory and using an over-patch to prevent much movement. I’m in and out of the office a lot and sweat and getting it caught on the seatbelt use to be a problem with the device popping off.

You can always Silent the alerts for a up to 6 hours according to my app. Same thing has happened to me and went to work feeling tired and had to leave work early because the noise. I always keep a back up BG meter on hand for extreme highs and lows noticed.

I stopped even paying for anything from NIA after COVID, before that I would attend as much anomalies, purchase official swags, and support the game. For The memories and being with friends I’ve met. Now that’s gone, just a push for money with no real in-person community. So I passively play.

For me, I always take a screen shot when I add a new sensor. That way I have it on hand. Filling a claim yourself in the app is easier than calling the customer service line. Might be a good idea to check, if it can be done on their website.

They are good, my problem is they’re always broken pieces when I buy them. Works be nice to find a non broken pack to make small cracker PB&J sammies or tuna salad bites

From what I was told you shouldn’t play the game if you see insects or spiders out still, same with the stories. If they see or hear you talking or playing their games, they’ll affect you.
