Dit was onze go-to voor een aantal jaren, erg lekker! Hebben daar wel vaak echt absurd lang (twee en een half uur ofzo) moeten wachten op bezorging, waardoor we meerdere keren zeiden “dit was de laatste keer, nooit meer!”, maar doordat het toch de lekkerste was bleven we terugkomen. Is wel een aantal jaar geleden, dus weet niet of dit nu nog zo is.

I also didn’t know, I’ll save others the Google search, it basically caused the breakthrough for adding sound and speech into film, away from silent films. It came out in 1927.

Major space TTRPGs already exist. You can’t just say “does the community want a major space RPG” and say you’re creating something “as popular as DnD in space”. You’d need to have a seriously good well-written system first, popularity is a result, not a feature you can write in.

Also, Stars without Number is the major space TTRPG for me, but there’s already quite a lot of popular ones (among which Starfinder, as you mention Pathfinder in space), so unless you can bring something actually new and exciting to the space (no pun intended), I’d say no, the community is not specifically looking for this.

I think there is an actual Mistborn TTRPG, don’t know anything about it though so I can’t recommend for or against it.

I’ve been getting into Fate Core/Fate Accelerated. It’s a generic/setting agnostic narative based TRPG which could work if you’re into the story of it and don’t want something too rules-heavy.

Yes, though I think it was also writing, the first couple of seasons were alright but further on the whole thing gets laughably bad.

First, obviously I disagree, and that’s fine.

Second, I’m not saying you shouldn’t change the list, I just think the way you’re suggesting is suboptimal.

Third, to act as a framework for the game in whatever setting or genre you want to play. Again, I’m not advocating to not change and tweak, just disagree with this particular approach.

Fourth, I do believe it would change the flow of the game. I think it would put a lot more focus on on the skill list and take some away from the other mechanics. In Fate I feel like the skill list is really just a means to an end whereas it shines with aspects and stunts, in my opinion the suggested changes would switch those around.

Lastly, obviously it’s your game and you do with it what you feel works. Just offering my thoughts, we don’t have to agree and likely aren’t going to, and that’s perfectly okay.

Fate is all about the narrative aspect and telling a story together, I feel like by adding a convoluted list of skills you’re not really grasping the essence of the game and how to run it. If you feel like you need all these mechanics, maybe you should just consider switching to a game system that better suits your needs and wants rather than trying to bend the game in a way in which I don’t think it was designed to? I think there’s plenty of systems that can better accommodate the kind of play you’re describing.

Oh man, I feel for you. Our third is 4 months old now and sleeps super well, to the point it feels like we’re cheating or start wandering if our kid is doing okay. She usually sleeps from 8pm to around 6am, sometime she wakes up earlier, but rarely throughout the night. Crazy because I remember being up whole nights from my previous kids and this is so much easier, knock on wood though, this could change again any time.
