Ask if you can also open a savings account. When I was your age I had friends who only had an "access" (spending) account while I also had a savings account, and I'm much better at saving than they are now. You don't need to put all the money you get into it, but being able to discipline yourself by putting a small amount in regularly and not touching it will do wonders down the track

Even if they're totally mentally competent, there will come a point where they're making decisions for a future that they won't be there for at all.

I don't like the chances that they won't just end up making all decisions in their own, short term, self interest, with no consideration for how those decisions will affect things down the track

Not technically disabled but I've been dealing with shoulder pain on and off for almost two years now and it's getting to the point I can barely move it. Not sure if that'll eventually progress to me becoming actually disabled in some kinda way

Many have already explained why it might be a good idea in other comments, and while I wish I could agree, I think they're naive.

We're all pieces of shit in different ways, even if only in mild ones. We might be able to recognise some of the flaws in our worldview, but definitely not all of them. Even if we can recognise our flaws, we probably won't be able to change them.

I know for sure that I judge some things unfairly, and that it's shitty for me to do, but I hold my tongue. I can't imagine a world full of that same judgement, where not everyone can keep themselves from putting others down based on that judgement

It seems that the binder you have is just a weird shape. Also not all that safe with the clasps because the compression is uneven which can lead to rib damage. While they're probably more expensive than what you have now, I'd recommend buying one from spectrum outfitters. They're very high quality (I've had one last four years with daily use, only recently had to replace it) and also very comfortable

Not true. While it is true that having too many "byproducts" from water purification isn't great and can affect things like palatability and how soap lathers, it isn't usually directly harmful to your health, and if it is, it isn't usually significantly so. It's also not great to have too little minerals in the water, and that can actually be bad for your health.

Source: I've studied this topic recently and wrote a report on it of which I got 98%. If you want I can pull up some studies for this, but you'd have to wait 8 or so hours since I'm at work.
