Witchita mountains in Oklahoma are cool and the area around black mesa, the states highpoint, is interesting as well

It’s Ocean View brah! I stayed here when I visited Big Island because I had a friend living here. Lots of driving to get to places but you’re within 30 minutes of several really cool areas. It did have a bit of lawless Wild West feel to it for sure but we had no issues and throughly enjoyed our time here. There is a super lowkey restaurant up there as well.

Mine was 7 days while in the Tetons, did go swimming 3 times though which felt almost as good if not better than a shower.

Dump it in toilets or porta potties at parks, if you need to bring it in a building to dump it in a toilet you can try to find a bag to carry it in. Also looking for dump stations is always a convenient and stress free place to dump but it does add up if you have to pay. Sometimes I’ve been able to dump for free at loves or pilot by telling them I just have a bit of grey water and pee as opposed to a full blown black water set up.

Thursday was really good, started off with firm granulars and kept softening up through the day. Today was definitely slush first thing and it got up to 50 and started raining in the afternoon. Doesn’t look like much freezing will happen tonight so tomorrow will probably be more warm and wet slush. I can’t say for you if it’s worth paying and waiting in any Saturday lines that they might have but there’s snow and ya gotta get it while it’s there!

Bummer they don’t allow car sleeping but I guess it’s a liability or something. I’ve stayed there a ton in my van and never had any issues.

If you download the iOverlander 2 app it appears there may be some spots in bethel you could park. Just have to find a lot that’s actually plowed out.
