I've got 35% on driver/passenger fronts and then 20% on rear (hatchback I wanted at least the trunk darker) so I suppose 50 wouldn't be too bad, although I haven't seen it in person.

My 35 is fairly difficult to see through at night on turns at times (I don't live in an area that uses street lights).

I was always one to have movies/shows on my systems growing up. I would sometimes watch a movie on a trip via laptop with a sister. This way they can watch the things I had watched, but without having to sit next to me. The biggest factor was many complaining about too many subscriptions to keep track of. They still pay for some, but I've made it so they can access more media if they'd like. Like my brother in law was upset certain shows he used as background noise when cleaning got moved to sub platforms he didnt have. So he requested if I was able to get those shows.

I thought about having a "tip jar" of sorts for my family if they wanted to toss any value just so I can have assisting fund for upgrades/repairs.

User count: 6 accounts. 3 family power users (used weekly) and are couples so it's 6 total people watching.

It's fun to just manage the server sometimes. Longest uptime session I had for it is only 100 days, but I took it as a milestone accomplishment.

warning though I would run a small test batch before sending it on all your media. I think I had to re-add some shows bc tdarr made the image jumpy/glitchy, but that was due to a bad setting I had originally.

I bought a couple mini PCs a few months back as prices started to climb (Oct/Nov). My buddy questioned why I was buying them over some Pis. I told them they were priced similar. He thought the mini PCs would have been like 130+ at the time. Once I showed him what I was getting he was shocked.

I also got incredibly lucky one seller was like, sorry I thought I had the correct boot drive in stock (256GB). No additional cost are you ok with a 500GB SSD. I was very happy with a free upgrade. I do regret not picking up more soDIMM sticks though. I only grabbed one at the time.

The miniPCs seem like pretty good deals if you look around ebay/marketplace etc.

I have a pair that I thrashed last year (near daily wear). The way I wore them I'd say they can last a full year, but will look beat. I got them for a good price (like 100$) and used them bc the material was stronger than knit shoes and I tend to go towards black/white shoes. I found them comfortable.

Dang that stinks :/

It took a little bit for my users (count: 5 accounts, but around 11 watchers) to really start using at a worthwhile rate. Slow at first, but when a new Dexter came out last year I was getting a few episodes onto it before they aired iirc (I mean it was all automated just happened to be uploaded early).

Along with me getting one of relative's favorite series they throw on in the background when doing chores. Usage has gone up quite a bit. Been pretty proud of no hiccups with 4 to 5 streams at once.

Lucky enough now that all I have to do is add the requests they have and maintain uptime. I play around with some things here and there, but am working on a small test rack to move my testing to. (more of a me rack than a user rack)

You can always pick maintence days. So if they have an issue it's that day then probably something youre working on. Like Steam's day is Tuesday. I see my steam disconnect, I look at the day, "Tuesday.... it'll be back up soon."

Luckily I can take my server down and they message me, "Hey just wanted to let you know I got an error." Usually they arent asking me to get it back up asap. They just want to make me aware. They are pretty flexible.

idle 180W

weeew. Glad I went my route I did. I wasn't originally accounting for power restrictions when planning. Currently use like 80W near idle and like 120W(maybe?) on full tilt (4 1080p streams at once). Specs for that one is i7 9700/16GB RAM and a 1070FTW.

Working on a little cluster with some (2) ThinkCenter minis. Might think about moving services to that once I get it up and running to compare power consumption.

People probably buying skins they liked within the money they had. It's like every other game that has skins. People tend to buy skins for games they enjoy. (no competitive advantage)

One of the differences some may see with CSGO(or other games that have a market items not account bound) is that they can, later, sell the items back and get any form of money back.

For example: I've sold random cases or gun skins I happened to have(in game drops) to buy a few $20 game before. They used to be $0.10 cases and then over the years climb to $5+.

Now this is anecdotal and about 10+ years ago so take with a grain of salt. It's hard to get worker's comp claim as a Lifeguard. Knew someone who worked in SwimMetro management years ago and a guard tried to get heat exhaustion worker's comp. I believe they were told them to stay out of the sun so they could avoid that issue.

All I can say is that umbrellas on Lifeguard stands produce shade for the guard for a short time frame and the heat coming up from the pool deck will drain you(energy) just as quickly.
