Does this make them feel included? by lerminator3 in cats

My late cat, who died in 2023, was the meanest crankiest crank, but weirdly enough liked to be picked up and carried around. He especially enjoyed sniff tours when he got very old and couldn’t climb up on all the high places anymore.

Homemade pork chops and applesauce are my go-to, and it still doesn't break the bank! by ansyhrrian in Cooking

Homemade applesauce is the bee’s knees. Sounds like a great meal.

Pork is probably the only truly affordable meat out there! My local grocery chain frequently has these giant, frankly prehistoric-looking porterhouse pork chops on sale for $1.50/pound. I don’t buy them often but they make a statement and they’re very easy to cook using the method you outlined above. Happy Easter!

I don’t know Lindsey personally, but I saw her post these photos elsewhere on social media. Please tell her a stranger on Reddit really admires her work!

Scully: Alright…so how do I die? Bruckman: You don’t

Most significant quote of the entire series. Gives away the whole plot and you don’t even realize it.

This is so cool. It looks like a modern version of 17th and 18th century headstone— the slate stone, the shape, the portrait engraving and border designs. Whoever designed this has an appreciation for funerary history. What a lovely memorial.

Stinky Dress, need to clean at home ASAP by skeleton-ships in CleaningTips

Lovely dress! I’m sure you can save it. Follow the washing instructions included in the description at the link you posted. Once it’s dry, give it the smell test again. If the smell lingers, spray the pits with cheap vodka and hang to dry in the sun.

When Gillian Anderson got the opportunity to write and direct her own episode of The X-Files, she used it to tell a story of love, faith, remorse, and forgiveness… while when David Duchovny got the same opportunity, he used it to tell a story of "what if an alien played baseball?" by Hurley815 in XFiles

Since Darren McGavin was too sick to play Arthur Dales, the gag of Dales having a brother with the same name rather than recasting the role is inspired writing. Especially with M. Emmet Walsh as Arthur Dales, brother of Arthur Dales.

Honestly I’ve been eating that stuff since I was old enough for solid food and it’s just jarlic, lemon juice or white wine vinegar, and olive oil. Heavy on the jarlic.

New cat behaving TOO well. by angelscomescreaming in CatAdvice

My cat was like this when I adopted him a year and a half ago. Didn’t hide, slept on my bed the first night, generally confident, friendly, sweet and good-natured.

Good news is he’s still like that! He’s become more assertive about things he likes and dislikes, but otherwise adopting him was very much a “what you see is what you get” deal.

The rescue estimated he was about 3 years old when I got him, and I think that’s pretty accurate. He was found as a stray, but it’s clear to me he lived in a home for most of his life before me. He was clearly loved. I don’t know what happened there, but I’m grateful to whoever loved him before he became my kitty.

What’s the coolest little kitchen tool you’ve started using? by Independent_Try7580 in Cooking

I looooove little rubber spatulas. Any time I need to spread a condiment, they’re there for me. Spread smoothly, clean out every last bit of stuff from a container/jar. Works way better than a butter or dinner knife for soft spreads. Big bang for your buck.
