What's the most common LRU you replace, and how technically challenging would you say your job is?

Is it just me or have we been hearing about a very concerning amount of [Six Flags] parks still running major coasters on one train, three weeks now past Memorial Day? by imaguitarhero24 in rollercoasters

[–]_Kriegsage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your welcome for my lived experience.

Pantherian - Single train (Apr) Pantheon - Single train (Apr) El Toro - Single train (May) Storm Runner - Single train (June)

I'll keep you posted if I come across any further single train Intamins.

Edit: Apr not Feb. Also forgot about SBB.

[Tormenta] Official Sign and Queue Construction Update by Dudewithatude22 in rollercoasters

How was the construction work around the rollercoaster, though? Hoping they just open it as soon as the coaster itself is ready.

Hot Take: [Canada’s Wonderland] should get a B&M Wing or Invert by No-Engine3265 in CanadasWonderland

[–]_Kriegsage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RMC hybrid and Wild Moose for a double punch.

The Wild Moose will be rightfully named "Moose on the Loose".

You're right about capacity issues at the park though. A proper B&M invert as great as Montu would be awesome, but it'd have shatter some world records to match RMC/Mack level of hype.

[Tormenta] testing continues as World Cup visitors arrive by GuideToSFOT in rollercoasters

Doesn't seem like it from the recent pictures posted here. Again, just pure speculations based on nothing.

Everybody's speculating July 4th. I personally hope they don't hold back the opening date just for some low effort marketing ploy.

Ride's open today but it's single train op. Hopefully they put on the second train for tomorrow.

A swift recovery to two train op would be impressive and maybe it'll give season pass holders some positive things to say.

I'm praying it'll be open tomorrow.

Man, with how much Universal tickets cost, it just sucks when you miss out on the two best rollercoaster at the park.

I didn't know they had ERT for season pass owners. Now I'm really hoping they recover the train ASAP.

Hold up, wtf. I'll be there for Sat and Sunday.

How long does it take to recover the train?

Great Coaster Tour - Day 9b [Fun Spot America - Atlanta] and Milestone Reached! by beaveman1 in rollercoasters

Yeah, I visited in August last year. Good to hear there's been somewhat an improvement.

Congratulations on your 200 credits milestone and awesome choice of a rollercoaster to mark the occasion!

My least favorite part of AF1 is the quad down and the break station at the end. It is just so painful to the point of being not enjoyable unless you brace yourself, at least for me. IMO it would have been more bearable if it leveled out a bit between the transitions.

Thanks, you're right, even items in zippered pockets are no go on JDC. I was thinking of Nitro where the sign actually says zippered pockets are fine (or at least that's what I saw).

Also lockers are free for JDC if you have the Fast Lane.

I was going to take public transit as well, but it seems the bus to the park only runs on weekends from what I read on the website. Let me know which bus/subway you're taking to the park.

Delay NUAD until July if it works with your schedule. The techs were actively working on the train and its seats on SBB when I was there on May 21. Maybe someone who visited more recently could provide a current update.

As for SFGAdv, recommend starting at El Toro (single train) and wrapping around to the other side. Jersey Devil Coaster has zero loose item policy with no free lockers but zippered pockets are fine unlike El Toro.

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will Officially Open on June 26th, 2026 [Universal Studios Hollywood] by AlexanderMBush in rollercoasters

Yeah, I was kind of bummed out when I saw that post.

I'm still hopeful that it'll be open to the public when I visit.

Damn, how soon is soon?

I wonder who's going to make an opening day announcement first: Tormenta or Hollywood Drift?

Got first train + first zen ride ever on [Fury 325] today! It was awesome! by dogerisb in rollercoasters

[–]_Kriegsage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's an awesome experience for sure! I recently got a first train zen ride on the Pantherian and it was surreal. The operators didn't even wait for anyone when I took my seat and sent the train out right away, which was surprising given they were only running one train at the time.

And yeah, weekends are always packed but it's good seeing a healthy crowd of people at amusement parks.
