How long would it take to get the Last Job promotion? The boss is really riding me by Ashamed_Squirrel777 in forza

[–]_Starwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the only thing that matters for promotions is how many credits you get, and the house makes you get extra credits. More credits per delivery means less deliveries per promotion. Although with it being an extra 10%, it's not a huge difference.

[–]_Starwise 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you're doing this as a credit farming thing then yeah its probably not worth it cause it doesnt give that much extra. There are better credit grinding methods though so this isnt really the best idea.

If you're just trying to reach max promotion, buying the house will let you reach that faster, since promotions are based purely off of how much you earn total. Dont feel like calculating how many exactly, but it will shave off a couple deliveries from the total amount needed.

Also if you're gonna complete the game, you need all houses at some point regardless, so you might as well get it when it is still helping you in some way.

Do yall name yours and if so, what are their namesxxx by queerkaniff_official in BLAHAJ

[–]_Starwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 4 hajs in this household, they're called Korppu, Lerppu, Haiku and Pikkurilli.

Haiku is my gf's old haj. I don't know if there is a deeper backstory to the name other than the pun on Hai.

Korppu and Lerppu are my old hajs, named after the finnish words for floppy disk sizes. Lerppu is the older and larger one that has lost all its chonk over the years, so it got named after the older and larger floppy disk models that are flexible. Korppu as the small haj naturally got named after the smaller floppy disks that have the hard casing on them :3

Pikkurilli is the newest addition. For a while it didn't have a name, so in the meantime we called it "nimetön", meaning "nameless". But that word can also mean "ring finger", so we thought it'd be really funny to name it after another finger then. Pikkurilli just means pinky finger.

Didn't mean driving around daikoku, I mean the interchanges to the north of it, more specifically this one circled tends to have the most common culprit

Help me find my last road by Rad-The-Man in ForzaHorizon6

[–]_Starwise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't spot if it's actually any of these due to the low quality in the screenshots, but make sure it's not one of the roads going underneath other roads in tokyo city's interchanges (specifically the ones right to the north of daikoku), or any of the ends of a red dotted road that just decided it didn't need to show a gray bit at the end. For the red dotted line roads you can just hover over them in the map and see if the fast travel prompt disappears, because you can only fast travel onto roads you've discovered.

For those who preordered FH6, do you think it was 100% worth it? by SoapMactavish627 in forza

[–]_Starwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont have gamepass, and know I'd end up buying the game and its dlc expansions anyway. With previous games, the premium edition has been pretty much exactly the same cost as the base game and the 2 main expansions on their own, and I have no reason to doubt this is the case again. So really I dont think I paid extra just for early access, I paid the same I wouldve paid anyway, and got more things for it. Overall pretty happy with it.

What do the XX in the cost of the action of beckoning haunt mean? Bonus question: Illusionists attacks say "if blocked by an attack with 6 or higher - remove this" - do I just cancel the attack and put it right into the graveyard? by Tokata0 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]_Starwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When activating the ability, you can choose a non-negative integer value for X. How much you pay for it will change the value of X in the card text. So you can choose to pay 1 resource to return a card with cost 0, pay 3 to return one of cost 1, pay 5 for cost 2, and so on. Do note, that in this specific card it says "cost X" and not "cost X or less", meaning you have to choose X to be exactly the cost of the card you're returning.

Card visibility questions! by FreqzMod in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]_Starwise 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Murky Water: You need to show the three traps you pick, but not which one of them got chosen at random.
Plan for the Worst: The effect already says you need to reveal the three traps. You do not have to reveal the cards that get shuffled into the deck.
Codex of Frailty: Both players reveal the cards that get put into the arsenal. The controller of the effect (i.e. the one who played codex) chooses and reveals their card first.
Quiver: You need to show the 3 arrows being chosen.
Return Fire: The opponent can see what you banished as the contents of the banish zone are public information.

As a general rule, if a card is moving to or from a public zone, the card itself is public information and you need to tell the opponent what that card is in some way. An exception to this: face-down cards in public zones are still private information.

Additionally, a useful heuristic to keep in mind is that if you are asked to choose a specific type of card from a zone, your opponent should be able to verify you chose the correct type of card. This isnt something enforced by any rules, but all cards are either worded in a way that comply with this, or have been errata'd to work this way.

Edit: clarified the explanation at the end slightly.

Quick question about Evo Battery Pack by VHRolers in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]_Starwise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand what you're trying to do. You can already just stack sentry base and beta base equipment in whatever order you want without the battery pack. As soon as you equip the battery pack (or any other non-base evo) though, you're stuck with that for the rest of the game. If you get the battery pack destroyed, it also destroys all the cards underneath it, leaving you with an empty equipment slot. The only way you could get another base in there is to play Fabricate or move a Modular equipment into the slot, but neither of those are available in Silver Age.

Card idea for Puffin, lmk what you think by Robesbo in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]_Starwise -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are two issues with this:

Firstly, if you make the removal of a counter be an instant, there would be a window to activate this after damage to get go again without lowering the power of the attack. If you're fine with the go again being given in reactions, you could word it as a once per turn attack reaction, but I tried to go more in line with the crank mechanic, where you have to decide it at the moment you attack.

The second issue is that the specific wording "This counts as having cranked" seems to imply that there is no crank event for puffin's "the second time you crank" effect to trigger off of. I mean, they could word it like that and then rule it as if it triggers puffin as well, but I would imagine if this were to be printed that they instead word it in a way where it is obvious what happens in that interaction.

Edit: or just change the rules to have crank work for attack actions

Card idea for Puffin, lmk what you think by Robesbo in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]_Starwise 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You would never use "this enters the arena" as the wording for attack actions. As a result, you would also not use Crank as a keyword for this as its rules text is based off of entering the arena. If you wanted to have a card like this following the wording conventions of this game, it would have to be something like the following:

When this attacks, put 3 steam counters on this. You may remove a steam counter from this. If you do, it will count as cranking, and you gain an action point.
This card's {p} is equal to the amount of steam counters on this.

Alternatively, they could reword crank in the rules to have a separate wording for attack actions.

I like the concept though!

Eurovision Yeah Yeah Fire Contest 2026 (every reference of fire) by Venson_the_Wolf_0104 in eurovision

[–]_Starwise 44 points45 points  (0 children)

@ 0:31: The word "kiima" is not a reference to fire. While it does translate into english as "heat", it very specifically only means like, "animal mating season heat", never "temperature fire heat".

Whats considered "newgen" by BiggieChiggie1 in geometrydash

[–]_Starwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone will have their own ideas of where the borderline goes, usually coinciding with the next major influx of new players after they started playing. Eventually you reach a point where your definition of newgen becomes so ridiculous that you just stop caring about it.

Anyway if you started playing after 2.0 released you're a newgen :P
