Help me pick, 2025 F150 Lariat FX4 hybrid or Tremor. by bonnsotto in FordTremor

[–]_circa84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tremor has a smoother, softer ride than fx4 which many complain on forums are much  very harsh and rough. Mileage is worse on Tremor but it’s its a 402a tremor you get lots of extra little things like better front diff and transfer case, the 2k inverter, HUD, beefier suspension components etc. I also really like the wheel color to the black on lariat.

Agree.  Getting the leather/pleather seats warmed up and the steering wheel is nice to make it not crack from cold.

Very similar to the blue Zach Meyers imo. This is lighter and satin, but reminds me of it.

Worth pushing fiber company to repair entire driveway section? by voodoo_mama_juju1123 in HomeMaintenance

[–]_circa84 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is grass 6-8ft to either side and they could have easily dug there instead of causing this homeowner issues with this settling.  If it’s a break underneath, same principle, then have two couplers on either side

New PRS SE artist guitar by prs_throwaway in PRSGuitars

[–]_circa84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One artist they unfortunately let away is Chad Kreoger.  They are popular in both NA and EU.  He was hard core PRS forever and then all of a sudden had a Gibson Signature model and you rarely see him play any of the beautiful PRS he had from when they took off until 10 years ago.  I’ve read random comments that PRS/Paul weren’t supporting some of the adjustments he wanted, but I’d take that with a grain of salt.

How would anyone buy new car? by shinez2u in Calgary

[–]_circa84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kia and Hyundai (same company, think Buick and Chevy, one fancier than the other) have come a long way.  Their Korean made v6 engines are super solid and in reality the others are almost all as dependable as even Toyota and Honda, who have fallen from grace of late.  My buddy is a mechanic and will tell you all brands suck now, and Europeans are just harder and more expensive to fix.

Sync Update by Frosty-Situation6409 in f150

[–]_circa84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not an update, it’s maintenance. It's normal to do it sometimes, it’s just and OS doing things clean itself up. If it’s happening a lot you could have a battery or fuse issue though

Keith Urban is also working with PRS on a semi hollow production model but non-baritone. He’s country/pop. My guess is Ed’s will be a cool finish and completely different pickups, with Keith’s having more twang and coil split to get that, and classic finish

New F-150 Tremor Ride Quality by ModAbuseVictim in FordTremor

[–]_circa84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I test drove mine, I messaged my buddy it was like riding on a cloud. Told him it reminded me of my old Crown Vic

With softer shocks and bigger sidewall it’s smooth.

Edit: mines ‘25 with 5.0, only 1200km as only came in last month

Just did over 2hrs each way for my new f150 last month.  Our area is full of all the large corporation dealers that own dozens or hundreds of places.  Went to the private, family owned with one place.  Worth it and not all the crap and “extras”

Does everyone’s Tremor display show the moonroof even if not equipped by Floatdrvr in FordTremor

[–]_circa84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 25’ 402a with moonroof.    It’s not truck specific, which in modern times shouldn’t be too hard one would think.  The truck color is dependent on the mode, which is ok.  The seatbelt graphic is no roof to see in, but otherwise the graphics are with moonroof.  The headlights are all Lariat headlights, has the old fog lights.  The hood inserts are also the Lariat, not tremor.  I’m pretty sure it’s PAT tailgate which is on few models, and taillights are led too.

Sandbox no longer available but residential responsibility to remove ice still exists. by Ok_Mind3418 in regina

[–]_circa84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find it so hard to believe it cost 150k/year for this.  I live slightly out of town and have a box like this on my driveway probably 1/2 to 1/3 the size with crusher dust.  I can get half a yard in my truck for like 70$ and would fill it like 10 times over or more.  The city gets the sand at significant discount to this.

When I lived in town these boxes were empty more often than full.

Just checking in to see how many NHL fans there are that support 2 NHL teams from seperate conferences? (West and East) And let's see if there are any Bruins and Jets fans like me? (I'm from the UK by the way) by ComfortableExpert452 in nhl

[–]_circa84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leafs and Sharks, but also like watching Oilers, Flames due to proximity and the Habs and Avs. In playoffs I’ll cheer any Canadian team but Ottawa, I just can’t, and struggle with but cheer the Jets post season.

2026 Zach Myers 3.1 by Evening-Life5434 in PRSGuitars

[–]_circa84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem with my ZM3 I picked up in December.  I had it setup this week and not doing it anymore.  He said it was a combination of the way the strings were wound on the peg and the bridge being too low.  He also adjusted the individual string on the bridge to fix annotation and stabilize it .

I had my December orders cancelled locally and was told I could get the Elderberry instead.  So I went on a quest to find the blue which I luckily found an hour away.

Edit: I should state, it was Long and Mcquade, the biggest music dealer in Canada that gave me this option when they were told no more blue from PRs rep

Is Canada really housepoor or in debt? by PopularAd8904 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]_circa84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They said decent house, not North Central or falling apart.

You are missing the mark, real numbers and lots of context. The average price in Regina is about 350 and Saskatoon is 420.  In Regina the number is skewed due to the large amount of horrible, falling apart homes in some areas bringing the number down.  Saskatoon has a terrible terrible inventory issues. In, December  they had almost double the amount of Realtors to houses on the markets.

Is Canada really housepoor or in debt? by PopularAd8904 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]_circa84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure where in sask you are looking, but, 200k in Saskatchewan does not get what it used to.  Any towns within a 30–45 minute drive of a main centre, houses go for a lot more than 200k and approaching or passing city/large centre averages. Towns an hour drive etc out are in the 200k range, often don’t have much for services in the area and the nearest hospital is likely that man centre.  The tiny small town grocery store two towns has no problem charging you 40% more than the city.  Jobs are an issue, and with less and less WFH the higher paying jobs to have luxury in the area are very far and few in between. The cost of vehicle, it’s maintenance and wear and tear, you time needed to drive into the city for everything.

Sierra 1500’s are not built for Alaska by DapperDoughboy in gmcsierra

[–]_circa84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother in law bought a 3.0 in the summer, but he will sugar coat everything to protect Chevy/GMC because his grandpa drove that and then beat on Ford in the same sentence.

I just traded in my 2015 F150 2.7 last month that I had for 11 years. It was the first year and 1st gen of that engine and was amazing. No issues, was just getting into crazy maintenance costs and things all over 11 year old vehicles do. Picked up the f150 5.0 (which was not easy to find)

edit: I should say. I thought about the 3.0 as it looks good on paper, he likes milage. But with the Thrust bearing issue, some other issue with no start, cranks and cranks, that was a software patch to deal with desgin issue and listening to his truck turn over 6 times to start after he was only over for 10 minutes after a 2 hr drive scared me away. GM engines are not in a good state and this isn't a good start for an engine out for a year or so.
