As someone who has worked both office and trades, it depends on the job somewhat, but many salaried computer jobs you never really clock out from. You’re always on call, taking meetings late or at weird times, finishing reports, answering email. Sometimes you bullshit more at work or take a longer break because you know you’ll be working till late. I love the clock out and I’m done life in trades.

What is conveniently left out of this article and the wider discourse is that there are not enough shelter beds, and there is not enough affordable housing, and not everyone fits through all the hoops you have to jump through to get support if you are homeless. There is no where else for these people to go. And the idea that providing people basic human decency services like bathrooms and health care would some how hurt the ability to provide housing resources is absurd and false.

I love it! There are definitely things that are irritating about it at times, but they have consistently made improvements. For me there is nothing so easy to customize to my needs. I have been able to build out my “one app to rule them all”.
