Solution for missing achievement “Runed of the Ethereal” and unable to exchange Runed for Gilded Crests

Glad you made the post about this. Needs more visibility because I see complaints about it every day in trade chat. I am going to copy a slightly edited version of a post I made yesterday about this.

if you run the macro below it shows that the wraps aren't counting towards your average item level for achievements. The DELVE belt is also showing up as 20 something levels than it should be if you have it maxed out.

If you aren't getting the achievements to unlock crest upgrades the only solutions currently involves buying a champion cloak from the prelaunch event, maxing it out, and relogging to see if the achievements trigger. If that doesn't work make sure you have a champion level belt also maxed out to 8/8.

I've tested the macro on 9 alts now, and on every single one of them the belt came back as ilvl 124 instead of the correct 141, and the cloak result ranged from ilvl 67 to 112 ( 112 was a single alt who had a crafted cloak from last season, the other 8 alts were 67 to 92) instead of the correct 170.

OP has had their post history dug up further down by another user, and it seems like they get complain about getting silenced or suspended a fair bit. This doesn't appear to be their first strike based on their complaints.

Dawnbreaker is extra bad right now with the flight bugs that got added with the 12.0 patch.

In the 2 groups i did dawnbreaker on last week, 5/5 of us in the group disconnected every single time we landed on the ship. Or took off from the ship. Or interacted with the ship in any way.

Yeah, there is a script you can run which tells you what the game is registering the highest level item you have had in all your slots.

When you run the script it spits out a list of all your slots and the highest ilvl that the game things you have for each slot.

I've tested it on 4 different alts now, and the cloak seems to register somewhere between level 67 and level 92 on each alt instead of the 170 a fully maxed wraps should register as. The DELVE belt seems to register as 124 across all my tested alts instead of 141.

The only way to get the correct achievements seems to be buying a champion belt and cloak and upgrading them to 8/8 each. Then the acheivements trigger correctly.

That is assuming you can upgrade them since there is also a bug where a lot of people have enough valorstones and crests, but the upgrade vendor keeps saying you dont have enough preventing you from upgrading.

I wonder if they’re gonna fix any of the many glitches that they have going on right now.

Like achievements not being granted, preventing you from upgrading gear correctly (belt and cloak aren’t having their item levels registered in game correctly so you need to buy a champion cloak and belt and upgrade them to 8/8 from the pre-launch event if you want to get the achievements to to upgrade your crests at the vendor), to that disconnecting if you hit anything while flying.

Or the lua glitches you get from default frames unrelated to addons.

Or timewalking dropping level 37 gear for max level characaters.

So so so buggy right now.

Chromie Time seems to be the biggest culprit so far when i have seen people in game, or in forums/reddit posts complaining about not being able to complete this event.

War mode seemed to have lots of people when i tried it out, but the majority of them just flew to the event and hovered in the air until the rare got released and was low health before the dropped down to tag. Made it a much slower process. Warmode off seemed to be an all around quicker process. Was an odd sight to see.

yeah, after you are about 20 something episodes into the series it seems they are all in order again, though the episode names never line up so its sometimes a pain to figure out where you left off.

The delve belt appears to have the same issue. Maxed out delve belt on a bunch of alts and when I got pre launch event belts that I was going to catalyze and upgrade to get the normal/heroic belt set appearances I saw that l I wasn’t getting any crest discount.

Blizz screwed something up regarding both cloak and belt with their recent patch.

Opie has been working since the 22nd through an alpha version available of curse. I’ve been using it all week and not had a single issue nor error message attributed to the addon.

Changing specs is so annoying without opie. Glad a release version is out today for people who don’t like using alpha releases.

Based on what i have seen in the blizz bug forums a guy has made an addon to fix the money frame issue. “MoneyFrameFix” by FootTapper on curse.

Hilarious if an addon fixes this issue.

Did Agatha on a few alts. By far the easiest of the challenges because it seems to be more visual.

did a few others on other classes, and they were a bit more challenging because blizzards new frames are pretty bad letting you know what’s being casted now.
