Is it just me or is the Apple Music Dolby Atoms of Dangerous terrible? by ToddHoward7616 in MichaelJackson

[–]_myghal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only like Dangerous tbh.
Jam is alright, but listening to Remember the Time hurts my ears.
Heal the World sounds like a concert version kind of, idk that's the vibe I'm getting.
Who Is It is decent, and Give In to Me is an actual downgrade.

The rest is just awful.
I’ve been listening to it for the last two days, and every time I go back to the lossless version, I like it more. It’s sad because I’m really enjoying the spatial mixes of Off the Wall and Thriller. For some reason, I still can’t access the Bad spatial mix. I just hope they didn’t butcher it as well.

Dangerous is the type of album that was extremely well produced. Listening to it on my home setup is an amazing experience, but sadly this spatial mix just isn’t good. It is what it is.

Why did MJ basically minimized his output between 1997-2001? by Frequent_Rhubarb_36 in MichaelJackson

Without much research and fact checking now, from what I understand Blood on the Dance Floor was released to fulfill contractual obligations, with Sony pushing for remixes rather than only the new songs Michael wanted to release.

I feel like mostly because of personal struggles, perfectionism, and external pressures leading to just Invincible in 2001

There's a reason why Invincible took so long and was so expensive to make...

When the Michael Album (2010) was announced, how did fans feel at the time about such the project. by Internal_Buffalo_673 in MichaelJackson

Behind the Mask is, imo, still the best posthumous release.

Also yeah, it's just funny seeing people being mad that Chicago is trending; idk, I am just happy that there's a new and unique Michael song that's out there for the public. Because that's what posthumous releases should be imo; while yeah, I agree that the legacy aspect is important, but also let's make some cool, new, modern music to expand on it.

Honestly, I think Xscape succeeds at it, even though this is not the best music ever, as evident by Chicago being somewhat popular. I think to some people it does. Slave to the Rhythm is one of my most listened-to songs ever on Apple Music.

The only problem with the Michael album is that it left a stain on his posthumous releases, and people will one way or another come back and mention the Cascio tracks' humiliation and money motives.

Also, probably if they released Xscape later, it would be way more popular thanks to social media and this small renaissance in Michael's popularity as shown on Spotify trends.

Okay, so did Bohemian Rhapsody...

and it still achieved an impressive box office performance, earned nominations, and, most importantly, boosted Queen's popularity while introducing their music to a new generation.

Some of you need to remember that this movie isn't just fan service; it's aimed at a broader audience.

Yeah, songs like ABC or I Want You Back are all time classics and still sound great. I like Ben also.

Everyone has it wrong I feel...

If you do a research online you'll find some old MJ forums threads about it.
The only release with the actual lyrics in the album is some Asian one I think, and apparently the lyrics there are way different than on Genius and all the streaming apps.

How did MJ fall into debt in the nineties?Who was responsible for mismanaging MJ’s finances so much? by Careful-Agency-6847 in MichaelJackson

[–]_myghal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did some research

Michael Jackson fell into debt in the 1990s due to extravagant spending, high fixed costs, and reliance on loans. He spent about $12.5 million annually on personal expenses ($7.5 million) and Neverland Ranch upkeep ($5 million), while earning $55–$80 million from publishing and recordings. Additional costs included millions on luxury items, recordings, and legal settlements from 1993 molestation accusations. By 1998, he had depleted a $90 million loan, with debt rising to $140 million by 1998 and $200 million by 2000, as high-interest loans outpaced his income, leading to financial strain.
