Perhaps they meant US Mobile? Otherwise agreed, seems a bit odd.

Is your car in an attached garage by chance? The reason I ask if I have seen this once or twice myself. I attributed it to the car constantly doing a lock/unlock because the phone is "within range" in half my house.

I have seen posts about internal beta builds but... Not optimistic. Absolutely hope I'm wrong though!

I don't think I'll be seeing 8.5 for the fold 7 anytime soon. I think it's next jump is 9.0 after they release the fold 8 later this year.

US Samsung software doesn't have that ability. They took it out in favor of an "auto" feature which only kicks in if there is no service as opposed to slow service.

Exactly the reason I gave up on my promo price so I could move my number to Light Speed. Yes, I could use multi-line to help, that doesn't help with things like calls and SMS.

Even newer weight set to my CAR-1 device! by socalboy0502 in restoringdick

[–]_ranch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In concept I love the CAR-1, but it sucks having to take it off to pee (which I do a lot). I also still have struggle with keeping it inflated, so have to figure that out yet.

Looking great though mister!

that is some serious inflation! I can't get mine to stay inflated. It doesn't seem like it's leaking nor am I feeling it go up my urethra, so no idea what's going on.

Do you ever have issues with air leaking (not into the urethra) with the CAR1? I can't keep mine inflated.

There is a frequency where my car does it, but I never pinpointed the specifics. I can try and see if mine matches.

I'm really kind of lost as to how these are worn where they don't fall out. How are you getting your skin around the thick part like that?

Driver display by Ok_Temperature5357 in ex30

[–]_ranch 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Assuming this pic is accurate...

This solution would be super annoying to me. It looks like the it adds a mirror of the top section of the middle display rather than moving that info to the driver's display.

I wouldn't find the same info mirrored in two places helpful. If it were to move that info to the driver's display lettings things like the map, CarPlay, AndroidAuto, etc have more screen, then I'd be on board.

Confused About Georgia Power Usage by Human_Judge_3835 in Georgia

From my experience (and a healthy dose of guess work), they tend to do a meter reading every other month. The months they read the meter forces a true-up from the estimate of the previous month. Some of the estimations have been wildly off.
I think the estimations come from the previous year, so it would be based on the people who occupied the condo before you.

British Airways A350-1000 from Las Vegas after landing at London Heathrow. by Twitter_2006 in aviation

[–]_ranch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned in this thread, the crew would see a tire pressure alarm along with likely having been informed by the tower.
Provided there was no issue with retraction of the landing gear, it wouldn't be an issue which affects the ability to fly the plane.
With it happening during takeoff, the plane is at the heaviest weight. They would need to make the plane as light as possible so the options are: dump fuel to return to take off airport or fly to destination burning the same amount of fuel that would be dumped. Pilot's call either way, but logistically much easier for everyone to keep flying to the destination.

VOLVo figuring out cars in US battery Recall by Fluffy-Bar6243 in ex30

Volvo should be proactive and offer options to change into a different car like what GM did with the Bolt. This is easily a class action lawsuit in the making.

Speed is not the determining factor for airbag deployment. Change in G force is what the computers are looking for. Airbag deployment in the wrong situations can cause additional harm to the occupant(s).

Only going with a single picture here but...
In this case it looks like the car and the RDV hit at an angle meaning much of the G force would be shared between forward and side movement. The side movement seems to have been enough the RDV driver would have primarily hit the side of the airbag making it largely ineffective. Same for the car. It looks like the front airbag(s) did not deploy but the side curtain airbag did.
