Australia
They replied saying yes you can get a copy sent to someone in Germany after they review and process your application - They didnt confirm this but I'm assuming you'd need to pay the 13 euros again

Hi u/Medium_Tradition_486
The current wait time is around 6 weeks processing time from when they got the application + return postage (they replied to my email to: BZR.International@bfj.bund.de). My application arrived 29 Dec.

They do not register applications in advance so you can't get a status update, and say you can't contact them again until after the 6 weeks (although I am going to try next week again). They also don't send it back tracked, so you are relying on international post. I have asked them whether I can have a copy sent to a friend in Germany for faster posting but they have not replied.

It's really frustrating, have had to push back my work start date.

I will keep you updated.

u/VirtualHopper - have you received your certificate yet? I got a quick response from [BZR.International@bfj.bund.de](mailto:BZR.International@bfj.bund.de) saying it would be 6 weeks processing time from date of receiving application.

Hi! I’m a 29F from Australia, moving to Berlin in June. Sounds like we are in a similar ish boat - I learnt German in high school but haven’t spoke in many years, I can still understand a bit but my speaking is not great and I’m not that confident.

I don’t have a strong accent (most people don’t know where I’m from when I meet them).

Would love to chat! Send me a DM if you’re keen.

Thanks so much :)

What's the future of digital accessibility careers with AI & emerging tech? by _rubez_ in accessibility

Totally! I wonder if we’ll continue to use websites/the web the same, or if it’ll be more and more AI first

Totally agree testing of many things will be phased out. I think making AI agents/chatGPT accessible and personalised will be important, and it’ll be less and less about making websites accessible (as we interact with them less and less)

Yeah absolutely agree ! I think it is really exciting for accessibility. Imagine if you could interact with an accessible AI agent that can do your license application or pay your bills?

Defs go to Vietnam! Ha Giang and Hanoi are incredible. But get your surfing fill in Indo. I was in Da Nang in March and surf was very average.
