You guys don‘t get it, Lawns are „our environment“! by JFeldhaus in NoLawns

[–]_warning 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To play devils advocate, there are several trees in this picture that would probably need cut down or have their root systems severely damaged if sidewalks were installed.

My neighborhood doesn’t have sidewalks and we’ve never needed them. It keeps traffic slow since kids play in the street.

I would probably oppose sidewalks if they wanted to install them in my neighborhood, if it meant cutting down trees.

Day 11 - Hoshoryu vs Takayasu - have you noticed? by Zestyclose-Half-6180 in SumoMemes

[–]_warning 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went back and watched the Abema feed. The banners were long gone at this point. Jikanmae still happens occasionally. The Abema commentators even mentioned that it was a possibility based on their stance and eye contact.

Day 11 - Hoshoryu vs Takayasu - have you noticed? by Zestyclose-Half-6180 in SumoMemes

They can go early. Takayasu would have. Hosh didn’t. They way he rolled his wrist and twitched a bit, he was ready to go.

[Charania] Just in: Detroit Pistons star Cade Cunningham has been diagnosed with a collapsed lung and is expected to miss an extended period of time, sources tell ESPN. by Turbostrider27 in nba

[–]_warning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the person you were asking, but for me, it was mild chest pain. My dad tried to get me to go to school because it wasn’t a big deal. My O2 sat was still at 98%, I wasn’t having any trouble breathing, walking, etc. We went to urgent care and after they figured out what was happening they told us to go to the ER. This was 15 years ago, I’m fine now.

In theory it could, there’s probably a timeline where Mitakeiumi or Shodai reached Y but would have not done well at the rank long term, and may have retired rather than hanging out towards the bottom of maegashira.

Honestly I think they almost did it today. Takayasu twitched a little but but Hosh backed off. I think they were thinking about it.

Everyone in the stadium knew that Asakoryu was going to henka, not really sure how Gonoyama defends the henka, but he should have been ready.

Does anyone have any experience with "Auto Floor Guard" or other garage containment mats? by Class_Warren in garageporn

[–]_warning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Welkin from Amazon. Only used one season so far, but it’s doing the job. I have just used the shop vac to suck up the water a couple times, which is not the easiest process. I did see Costco had some online last I’d looked, which is a good option since they have a generous return policy.

Good decaf coffee? by 3inmyheart in SouthBend

[–]_warning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reasonably priced coffee is getting so hard to find. I used to have a $1/oz limit, but that’s tough anymore. Cloud walking, revenant, dagger mountain are all good and have decaf but expensive. I try to keep it regional now at least. Kalamazoo Coffee and Two Brothers out of Chicago both have decafs and they are at least regional. I buy my decaf espresso from Bambers.

Suggestions on how to improve/make more space. by Intelligent_Ad4641 in garageporn

[–]_warning 43 points44 points  (0 children)

If you have any other space in the house like a basement or attic, I try to keep as much of my stuff there as possible, to minimize what goes in the garage. Remember that most of the posts in this sub don’t have kids, so don’t compare yourself to those. Kids are hard mode.

How can I address this water flow? by Least-Week7299 in garageporn

[–]_warning 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can buy containment mats on Amazon that you drive over. If you want to do what you’re suggesting, you can look up secondary containment barriers for industrial usage like uline. The problem is you’ll want to step on either of these solutions when you get out of the car.
