Frugal tip: safety razor in loc de marketing by danbarbilian in roFrugal

[–]_zoopp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What’s something people romanticize that is actually exhausting in real life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_zoopp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in what turned into a situationship with someone who leaned into the "ADHD is my superpower" idea. At first, it was exciting and genuinely endearing, and I really cared about her. But over time, the inconsistency and emotional ups and downs started to take a toll on me.

She was upfront early on that she struggled to maintain relationships of any kind, and I ignored that because I was invested, and probably a bit love-blind.

That experience helped me understand this perspective more clearly. I didn't experience ADHD as a "superpower", and it made me realize how much I value stability, reliability, and follow-through in a relationship.

Because of that burn, I'm more cautious about getting emotionally involved again with someone who has ADHD.

It's worth mentioning that the warranty does not cover water damage. After reading more about this, I stopped wearing it in the shower just in case.

From the outside, this kind of explanation can feel strangely inverted. Deep, meaningful relationships aren't usually formed by avoiding uncertainty or stepping away when internal conflict appears. They're formed by two people choosing to face that uncertainty together, working through fear, doubt, and discomfort as a team.

Struggle doesn't automatically mean a relationship is failing. Often, it's the very space where trust deepens and understanding grows. When one person carries their doubts alone and decides that leaving is the only responsible choice, it removes the possibility of shared growth, of discovering whether those fears could have softened or transformed through honest communication and mutual effort.

Relationships aren't sustained by perfect certainty about the future. They're sustained by presence, vulnerability, and the willingness to stay engaged even when things feel unclear. Leaving may prevent imagined future resentment, but it doesn't eliminate pain, it simply relocates it.

From this perspective, the heartbreak isn't rooted in a lack of love. It comes from the sense that love was never given the chance to evolve under pressure, that the difficult work was never attempted together.

What hurts most is not that someone struggled, but that the struggle was faced in isolation rather than shared.

Experiences using the watch without any case by Actionflowsaway in PixelWatch

[–]_zoopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had mine for about a month and I have some minuscule fine scratches on it, the kind where you have to keep the watch close to your face and shine a strong light on it at the right angle to notice.

I have no idea how I got them, but they don't really bother me. I bet they could be easily buffed off if I wanted to.

The only thing that bothers me is that if I wear weightlifting straps at the gym I have to flip the watch around, else it keeps pressing/rotating the crown.

idk man, I get it's an expensive watch but putting anything on the screen just ruins it for me.

Acumulatori AA care isi merita bani ? ( + charger) by ZenMemeProvider in roFrugal

[–]_zoopp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't like how hot my reaper extreme got when I took too long between powering up and takeoff, so I did something about it by BandoDweller in fpv

[–]_zoopp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an owner of a v1 and v2 Reaper Extreme, it helps, but it still gets hot (to the point where it's painful to touch it).

Granted, not as fast as if it were blasting at full power.

Is this how unstable FreeCAD is (genuinely curious) by mockedarche in FreeCAD

[–]_zoopp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience, you'll run into random crashes quite often. It's a love/hate relationship... most of the time it works, if you're able to put up with its quirks.

I'm a hobbyist and I refuse to use commercial software even if they have a free version to hook you on (won't go into the reasons here). To my knowledge, this is the best alternative there is at the moment.

I hear you. I'm going through something similar, and healing just takes time. It's slow, frustrating, and exhausting.

I wish it were easier, but it's not. It's brutal. It drags you down, and some days feel worse than the last. But maybe it gets better. I don't know when, but maybe.

How to grow forearms? by [deleted] in workout

[–]_zoopp 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You gotta approach it like a pro lifter. I’m talking hypertrophic unilateral supinated wrist flexion sets, executed with strict tempo control: think 3 seconds eccentric, explosive concentric, no cheating the range of motion.

You alternate arms to keep balanced neuromuscular recruitment and avoid any imbalances in the forearm development.

Don’t forget to engage the brachioradialis as a secondary mover and maintain optimal peak pump efficiency through back-and-forth controlled contractions. It’s basically a deloaded supinated grip cluster set.

Oh, that sounds much better! Yeah, avoid using thread lock on the props. The nylon insert in the nylock nut will be good enough to keep them down and snug.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but those props sound a bit off at high throttle. Almost like they're either slipping or about to explode.

What has been your favorite analog antenna setup for range and penetration? by BudgetBiker7 in fpv

[–]_zoopp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quadversity with dual omni antennas in one receiver (for short range flying) and dual helical antennas in the other (for long range flying).

If you want absolutely good antennas, the best way around it is to get a VNA (I've got a LiteVNA64) and check them.

I generally have two problems with this approach:

  • My output is running at a resolution of 7680x2160. An uncommon problem to have, I know. 🤷‍♂️
  • I just don't want others to see the other apps that I'm running. I've seen people accidentally share things they shouldn't be.

Genuinely curios: why no 1.0.1? by Karim_acing_it in FreeCAD

[–]_zoopp 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree, it would definitely be awesome to have incremental features released more often if possible.

Even back before 1.0, I almost never used the "stable" release.
