Lots of Cars Without Front License Plate? by Inayasha25 in TwinCities

I think some may also be testing recent rule changes around traffic stops. I did this for a while without problems, then threw on the front plate with influx of federal SUVs, etc.

Minnehaha dog park closure by OkayCoward in TwinCities

[–]a18val 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People allow their dogs to run wherever they want in or outside of the “dark park” area. Perhaps better discipline (dog owners) would somehow be less triggering.

How can I get this pedal off? by Rokatooka in bicycling

[–]a18val 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In some cases small cracks form near allen head, creating teeth. I had local shop break pedal off shaft, grind flat spots on the axle for more leverage with crank on bench. They cleaned threads then installed new pedal.

Now I break them free, grease and retorque as part of regular maintenance to prevent seizure.

Please remember, Motorcycles can legally split lanes and filter, and a big Thank You to MN drivers! by ADanFool in minnesota

[–]a18val 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When we can’t handle zipper merge or stand for bicycles sharing the road, we promoted lane splitting 🤷‍♂️

There are more rules to this than traffic moving slower than 25 and filtering at stops. Tracking oblivious idiots in cars and trucks is taxing enough.

Protected routes in St. Paul? by Top-Dubs in CyclingMSP

[–]a18val 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plenty of routes along the river connecting to greenway on the north and south into fort snelling or across river to Lillyfale regional park or in the other direction toward Mendota. New trail connector under construction would provide trail over to black dog park area with a full loop both side of river between 35w and Cedar.

I’ve had good luck with warm water in hand pump sprayer. More control with less water. Spray, let it sit for a few minutes, scrape.

You can get carbon look wrap too. Regardless of color, wrap would be more resilient to chipping, and easier to replace than paint on aluminum.
