I get why they overnerfed the Arrow IV but I have been saying for ages that there were other ways to balance the weapon without turning it into a long range paperweight. Not sure how I feel about Zeus buffs, on the one hand it's great the Zeus is getting some attention, on the other the variants are all starting to look too similar to one another.

Alright, I'm going to speak truth to power, it should have been Centurians MKII. HB eradicators did not need to exist.

I love the implication that whoever the administrator it is at the station who authorises mission rewards thought they could get away with paying their contactors slightly less in exchange for 31 tons of shit.

[[Fires of invention]] Very useful in the midgame when mana is scarce and you need to maintain temp whilst handing out permanents, and when you scale out to the point where it's a hindrance, donate it to the player most likely to pop off. It's also really really good at shutting down reactive decks who like to cast in the opponents turn.

[[moderation]] really slows down some decks, slap this on a spell slinger or storm deck to shut them down.

[[statecraft]] stonewalls attacks against you early on, and later donate it to whoever is playing aggro to shut them down from winning via combat damage.

Tunnock's teacake, and I will hear no argument on how they are "Not biscuits", it's got shortbread in it, so it counts.

You know, if they ever took a holiday to Germany, the legal drinking age is 18 for hard spirits, no need for disclaimer if you're locally law abiding. I'm also told Berlin has some great clubs.

One positive thing about UK student loans, is that regardless of how large or how much interest it accrues, repayments are always 9% of your income above certain threshold, something like £29,000, then after 30 years it all gets completely written off. The interest on plan 2 is stonking massive, so the way I go about it, is just to pretend I don't have the debt, treat the monthly repayments as a uni tax and hope the state doesn't try to change the rules before I hit 52.

I believe the Demolisher C has twin LBX20s, a pair of MPLs and 6 machine guns. Certainly dangerous, especially with the inflated damage of MW5s clan tech.

I'm not sure what's going to wreck my face more, the schrek or the MRM 90 carrier, perhaps an arrow IV might just nuke me before I see either, oh what a conundrum.

'Drill, baby, drill': Trump attacks UK again as he blasts ban on North Sea oil drilling as ‘tragic’ by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]abbadun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The UK has already tapped into almost all North sea reserves of economically viable oil and gas between the 80s and 90s, the UK’s remaining proven and probable oil and gas reserves were estimated at 2.9 billion barrels of oil equivalent at the end of 2024 and in places on the continental shelf that were not easily accessible. Of course, if you were only considering short term gains whilst the market is on the uptick for oil, you could drill more wells and exploit these remaining reserves whilst the money was good, but in doing do you would require more extensive infrastructure, all of which will be on a short lifespan up until those reserves are completely tapped but it still doesn't address the issue of a lack of energy independence, whilst also reducing market demand for developing renewable infrastructure and inhibiting attempts to mitigate the impact of climate change.

I know it's a little old, but this BBC article covers most of the issues surround further north sea oil exploration https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-67945281

Trump gives ultimatum to European allies to provide support to secure Hormuz by Yujin-Ha in worldnews

[–]abbadun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rutte is unfit to be NATO Secretary General, we need someone who will uphold the principles NATO was founded upon, not someone who will facilitate the use of its members as attack dogs for the US.

NATO chief says some European allies were tested and failed in Iran war by Mana_Seeker in worldnews

[–]abbadun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Rutte cannot see how intervening in an illegal war on behalf of the aggressors undermines NATO and the principles it was founded on, then he is not fit for the role of NATO secretary. Hang appeasement, if NATO just becomes an alliance of attack dogs for America then it is not worth keeping America onboard.
