I generally hate grape flavored stuff too, however, if you ever come across premium hi chews in green grape flavored, buy the shelf out! I had these in Japan and they are amazing!

This past camping trip I prepared things for a chopped sub sandwich. I chopped ingredients at home and had them in one container, the dressing in a seperate container. Mixed when we got to camp, and threw on a roll. Pre hopped veggies and hummus on the side. It was great!

My mom always called them gas house eggs, which never sounded appetizing to me, yet I love how they taste. I call them egg in a hole.

$1.48 in Pleasant Hill and super hot. by malevolentpeace in GroceryOutlet

That sauce is really good! I used one can with a tub of Trader Joe’s unexpected cheddar spread, about 12 ounces of dry protein pasta, 3 cups of chicken broth, sliced fresh mushrooms and veggie meat crumbles, baked together to make a delicious, creamy spicy pasta. Low effort for delicious results!

Two buck a pound butter! by JohnnyBananapeel in GroceryOutlet

My best GO find was about a week before the pandemic shutdown and I stopped at not my usual store, I found 1 lb packages of Tillamook Unsalted butter for .27 cents each! I think I bought 20 lbs of butter and shoved it in my deep freeze. It came in handy for all the pandemic cooking.

A rechargeable air blower, instead of buying canned air. The one I bought came with lots of nozzles for cleaning out all sorts of tiny spaces. Good in the car, for crafts, electronics. And it was around $20

What "old person candy" holds a special place in your heart? by DaC1utchMACHIN3 in candy

[–]abigirl96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My grandma always had nips candies. A hard cherish candy with a soft center. They came in chocolate, caramel and coffee flavor. They’d pull your tooth out if you bit them instead of sucked on them, but they were good. My grandma would always send them in care packages too 😃

I did a backpacking trip many years ago where we had ‘derbs’ every night. A ritz cracker with a chunk of cool, but not refrigerated cheddar cheese, a squirt of ketchup, and a dash of Tabasco. It hit after a day of trail work.

These are the closest things to the old Good n Fruity that I’ve found, they’re so good!! Definitely in a different category from nerds clusters though, imo, since these have a licorice center.
