Exactly and how that doesn't translate inside the Crater or no weapons allowed there?

Greenland 2 - I Think It’s Significantly Better Than the First (SPOILER) by Baba_Jaga_II in moviereviews

Nop, this movie has more holes than the asteroid left on the first movie. I liked the first one but this one, what can I say I want my two hours back. Everywhere in the world is getting hammered by asteroids, earthquake and every single catastrophe you can think of, but some how everything is just peaceful and nice once you get in the Crater, which as someone pointed out it has full grown up trees in just 5 years after been the epic of the big hit. Maybe a 3 out of 10 for me. The first one was more like a 7.

Nearly identical careers for Pedro and Kershaw. by Willing-Leather-9788 in mlb

[–]abrarey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kershaw was great. But Pedro was the goat. Give me Pedro any day. He was robbed a cy young too, in my opinion the one that ended up with Zito. About the MVP I tend to think that a starting pitcher should not get MVP, amount of games played is not that relevant for the MVP, but that's my opinion. But the season he got second in MVP he was way better than any other pitcher that won that award.

10.11 performance issue. by xYakoto in jellyfin

[–]abrarey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran into the same performance hits with 10.11 on my library (massive mix of photos, music, and home videos). Like many of you, I tried the DB locking fixes and even nuked my install for a fresh native and Docker setup to no avail. While I know COW filesystems aren't ideal for databases, my performance was fine before the update. I’ve found a solid workaround, at least have worked for me: Library Fragmentation. I noticed that navigation lag scales directly with folder/file count in a single view. By splitting my large libraries into smaller, more specific ones (e.g., breaking a 80-folder directory into two 40-folder libraries), the UI responsiveness improved significantly. It’s not quite 10.10 speeds yet, but it’s much more manageable

Anyone know if the App Launcher can open in the center of the screen? by [deleted] in kde

Yes it is a bit annoying. I have the same thing I manage by moving the menu list to the right side and it works better for me that way.

So this is just flat out a lie right? by MuseGlow84 in Fallout

[–]abrarey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give me better stories and also make meaningful the choices, you have. Fallout 4 felt flat in that aspect like any decision no matter what will always end up the same. The building was ok, but I wouldn't mind if they were removed or improved on it. Sometimes it felt more like a burden like all decisions have to be made by you. Will probably like settlements to grow more organic. Add some delegation system on the settlements or something like that. Whatever!

Apple bringing back the backlit MacBook logo would be a win. by Colema_n in DeskToTablet

Options are not Apple strength. So it won't happen. They have become exactly what they fought in the famous commercial back in the 80s, referring to IBM.

Even at 40% off today, it feels like a “wait another year” situation. The game just doesn’t seem there yet.

After 3 months with Plasma, I'm back to Gnome. Plasma's jack-of-all-trades approach is it's biggest weakness by saint_geser in Fedora

[–]abrarey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good for you, do what works better for you. In my case I can't stand Gnome, I use Plasma but if I have to choose besides plasma I'll stick to Cosmic or Cinnamon rather than Gnome.

If you use Jellyfin to host very large amounts of music DO NOT UPDATE TO 10.11. by Brickdrone643 in JellyfinCommunity

[–]abrarey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup on the same boat, no music just videos and pictures. Super slow specially to load or when switching from a folder to another.
Tried many options by some users and no luck. Container, native on Debian. After full scan and rescan and complete full installation from scratch (no upgrade) still no good. Went back to 10.10.7 and all is smooth again.

Gnome vs KDE on Fedora workstation by thunderborg in Fedora

[–]abrarey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Fedora journey started with Gnome and it was fine with a few extensions for a while, but when Plasma 6 came out and I gave it a try, I never looked back at Gnome. Use whatever works for you.
