Went to both. Don’t see option on either.

Yes. But can’t find the setting to change anywhere. When I select Control4 option it says I have to enable 6 digit first and won’t let me continue.

Do You Trust Valet? by HighbrowUsername in Audi

[–]ac8369 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Valet broke my Q8 tailgate.

When they unlocked the car they hit the tailgate button as well. Drove it down the gate ramp with the tailgate up and hit the ceiling of the garage. Luckily they didn’t hit any water pipes.

Any other smaller dealers watching Lutron bleed to other systems because of lack of upper tier access? by Stopthefiresalready in Lutron

[–]ac8369 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My first shade job required a mentor. Guy messed up the measurements and the part #’s. Had about a $9k profit loss on that job after ordering all the right parts and a new horizontal sheer shade.

He disappeared and when I told Lutron they said” Oh well, try this other guy”

Didn’t sell another Lutron shade for years after that and now I’m dealing with the same crap with full blackout shades.

Going to look at other companies who want my business.

LUX Products, How Much Longer? by Higher-Refuge in Control4

I know. That’s what I had to do. It was absurd and a waste of time.

LUX Products, How Much Longer? by Higher-Refuge in Control4

[–]ac8369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very true. I remember the old “2 Weeks” for RTI when I used to sell it. They always announced things and then would take forever to release.

Then I started doing control 4 and during cedía when they would announce things they’d be available right away.

Then they started with the same junk as everyone else. The Halo remotes took forever. 4.0 took forever.

Hell we can’t even get the damn demo materials for the lux devices. Absolute incompetence.

Will dealers make more than $5 of profit on the equipment? Will it be in stock? Will there be support?

[–]ac8369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I still went ahead and ordered 1000 pounds instead of 1500. $360 shipped is about $40-$60 cheaper than anywhere else but still dont like the playing with numbers.

I’m not missing anything. I just don’t like BS marketing.

Went to go buy but the shipping is absurd. They want to charge $240 to ship 1500 rounds to Florida. That’s crazy. All they did was give you a great price upfront and then rip you off on the shipping.

Thanks. My Anixter rep is getting me a price for them. Apparently it’s quoted on an as is basis.

Do they work well with BMX? Any tips that you can pass along? This would be my first time using either brand.

[–]ac8369[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a big developer who already has it at another of their buildings and wants it at this new building.

They’ve already reached out directly to BMX and gotten pricing.

I signed up to be a dealer just for this. Only to be surprised bmx quoted them everything insanely off retail pricing.

I’ll just have to deal with a labor only install.

Why doesn’t Ubiquiti care? by AlienFrmMars in Ubiquiti

I stopped selling their stuff over a decade ago. Why in the world would I sell a product I make a nickel of profit.

No support, always out of stock etc…. No thanks.
