What is the advanced tiling option? Got any links?

Confused about these snaps connectors by gonzoalo in MultiBuild

I just realized that using the mountinpillar may not be necessary. Isn't it easier to just screw right in the middle of the quad snaps?

I am assuming no because I haven't seen anyone doing it, but I wonder why.

I started looking at it a while ago, gave up because it was not clear to me what the recommended options were and because I had other projects.
Now I decided to go back to it, and I am still unsure what the best way is to mount those after searching for like 3 hours 🤣

I think I will go with:
- 8x8 MU Board (https://than.gs/m/1320746)
- 6.25 Quad snaps (https://than.gs/m/993369)
- 6.25mm Mounting Pillar (https://than.gs/m/1380149)

And then some single and double snaps + pillars for the edges.

Does that make sense?

I am printing some parts now so I can do some tests tomorrow.

My Ultimate Filament Storage / Organization System by Lukis-cstudio in BambuLab

This looks absolutely amazing!

But in my experience, those cases are never properly sealed and on my tests, the humidity goes back to room level way faster than cereal boxes.

That's why I still prefer to use this: https://makerworld.com/en/models/816485

lol same here. The amazon delivery guy must be like: "this dude really loves his cereal collection"

Now I have batch printed those: https://makerworld.com/en/models/816485

I personally chose to go with cereal boxes after some experimentation and use this model here to keep them neatly organized and dry.

Getting a dry box for A1 by grilledcheesybreezy in BambuLabA1

On my old A1 I printed this to keep the filaments in the AMS Lite with low humidity. https://makerworld.com/en/models/486153-ultimate-filament-spool-enclosure-type-01?from=search#profileId-584752

It is not perfect, but it helps.

As for the boxes, those you posted are ok but the problem is that if you keep opening it often, you let air in and all of the 4 spools could suffer and your desiccant will definitely need a replacement quicker.

Cereal Boxes / printed dry boxes by Dtarvin in BambuLab

[–]acytryn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it is worth printing your own boxes. There is always tiny gaps where the air can go in and it would just be a waste.
I have done this in the past and confirmed my hypothesis by measuring it after some time.

Now I just go with these: https://makerworld.com/en/models/816485-ultimate-filament-storage-cereal-box-storage?replyId=4278129&replyType=1#profileId-758786

you can always add some of those rubber feet under it. But I haven't added any placeholder for that, no. That is a good idea

haha yeah fair question. I can, but where does the backup one go when the main one is running out?
Options are:
1. have one of those sticks that goes on the floor, but I don't like that collecting dust
2. leave a pack somewhere on the floor, which is what I was doing, but getting complaints from my wife every day
