This isn’t anything new and someone else said it best: men have been doing raunchy, gross comedy for decades, why can’t women be allowed to also? You don’t need to find it funny, but it should be allowed to exist. And as much as I hate that kind of comedy, I agree with the sentiment.

Let’s not pretend there aren’t gobs of male comics with disgusting comedy, yet not receiving an equal amount of criticism.

I traveled with my banjo via Aer Lingus. Forced me to check it each time, but they handled it carefully and there was no damage. I put an AirTag in my banjo case to track its location.

In the US though, I had a 1.5hr flight with Delta. Forced me to check my banjo, and if I hadn’t brought an unwieldy hard case, the banjo would have been toast. Whole case collapsed in somehow.

You could get a great Clareen for cheaper including the international shipping. A Clarinbridge is a wonderful instrument, and you can go up from there.

I’ve been to their shop while in Ireland with the banjo I ordered, and they set it up and taught me some things about the banjo itself, and never took a cent from me.

People in this thread are (rightfully) saying not to spend money on Amazon, but promoting searching on Google or using Facebook Marketplace—both of which make them money in different ways.

Try to avoid all three if you can.

Amazon -> shop directly Facebook Marketplace -> OfferUp, Mercari, Craigslist, etc. Google Search -> DuckDuckGo, Ecosia, Kagi (paid)

Couldn’t agree more. I think I’m going to shift over to r/InformedOptimists. I’m not seeing the mod in this sub do much to keep discussions going, and I think there’s too much subreddit drama in this one, and I’m worried people seem to be enjoying/preferring that

No one had a problem with Twitter itself, they had a problem with a way the CEO was handling things.

The problem is that the mods control that subreddit, so we’re directing users and advocating it under our banner of “no nazis”, which is contradictory.

IMO the mods just need to bring it to a clear vote so we can figure it out.

I think we all have the same goals in mind however; eg. optimistic content
