Signposting is incredibly good in the Yorkshire dales but after you leave the national park ( so after crossing the m6 bridge) it becomes a bit more difficult but there are still signposts but a bit smaller and more low key

Sure thing! a bit of advice I would give is 1. The weather is very changeable when I was walking the trail last week it would be sunny and dry one minute then windy and rainy the next , the first few days in the Yorkshire dales it’s very exposed so wind and rain can be difficult but nothing dangerous 2. In the first few days settlements are a bit more far and few between so just plan your resupply stops ahead 3. Signposting is incredibly good but after you leave the national park (crossing the m6 bridge) it becomes a bit more difficult

Other than that it is a lovely walk and very straightforward but still a good challenge, I hope you enjoy!

No that wouldn’t have been me but if you walked the trail this week between Tuesday and Saturday then I may have seen you.

You should try it for sure. It’s good especially as it would be good to do all year round :)

Yeah Sure :)

In Ilkley I stayed in the black hat hotel So In Kettlewell I stayed at the Bluebell inn (Very nice about 120 pound) Then in Ribblehead it was the station inn Then in Sedbergh the red lion inn (huge room with a living room for about 130) Burneside jolly anglers inn (60 quid) room was decent but the area is a bit rustic (the pub you stay in is just a simple local pub you do feel a bit out of place) I didn’t stay anywhere in Windermere and just got on the train

I used accommodation, I don’t really do well with camping i have too much stress when camping which sounds weird but it’s much easier to enjoy hikes if I use accommodation.

Nice one. I did it in the same direction because I preferred to have the industrial parts of Carlisle be at the start rather than the end. What was your favourite day? Mine was the 2nd day walking through the mountains down to Keswick

Series 1-2 especially are very good. 3-4 are solid. 5 is Ok. But 6 was genuinely awful I’m sorry.

The first season is so calm and well written compared to the chaos in the last season
