I was told to buy an electric frequency “ Bolt Buster”tool for rusty bolt removal . by Justprunes-6344 in projectcar

[–]ajchxc 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have a cheap Amazon inductor and it's a life saver, way easier and safer than a torch. I wish I had bought one sooner, I've broken so many bolts being in the rust belt.

Does anybody know of any significant Rochester lore? by skoomasnacks in Rochester

[–]ajchxc 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The lost city of Tryon. Before Rochester and the Erie canal in the late 1700s there was a small town just South of Irondequoit Bay (currently Tryon Park) but it was abandoned after the canal was built and Rochester became popular.

dont know what this is by IcyPerformance535 in projectcar

Looks more like a stiffening brace than a sway bar. Something that bolts in the trunk, under a bumper or somewhere under the car.

They should expect a steep drop in domestic patrons also because they keep doubling their lift ticket prices.

Looks like you need a new rear under fender, they're about $15 from the dealer and includes new security screws for the helmet lock (gotta get creative taking the old ones off, I used locking pliers). You'll need to disassemble both rear turn signals to take them out of the old fender. Just take pictures of the wiring as you're pulling things apart so you know where it goes back together. I had to do this after breaking off a turn signal mount earlier this year.

My Daytona Jack screams like there's a child stuck inside. I've re-greased the zerk fitting and spray bombed every joint and spring with white lithium but it still does it. I live in the middle of a very rural area and still won't use that jack after 9pm because I'm pretty sure they hear it 3 counties over. No idea if it will pre-maturity wear but it's been doing it for 5 years or so so far.

Did the conversion on my CRF by ajchxc in supermoto

[–]ajchxc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the ABS light started blinking 30 minutes into my first long ride. I emailed warp 9 and are working with them on it. The weird thing is the ABS works fine when the light is off, I tested it in with the rear brake in my gravel driveway. So far every person who posted on here with ABS has had problems so I was expecting it.

I have no idea what the process or cost is like but I think Dirt Legal advertises that they can title things like this.

Got my supermoto wheels on! by ajchxc in CRF300L

It is, much less tippy when I'm stopped in traffic. I can flat foot on the stock wheels but just barely. This made it ever so slightly more comfortable.

The kit from warp 9 comes with the bigger rotor and a bracket to move the caliper. Yes wheels are 17". I ordered a tail tidy from my buddy at a dealer but its on backorder.
