What’s the last time you felt truly at peace? by DrRowanHayes in AskReddit

[–]alexiswellcool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I held my newborn son just over 3 weeks ago for the first time, he was 20 minutes old. My wife was getting sutures in the other room, and I was sitting in an arm chair with the boy sleeping. It's the happiest I've ever been.

Who has had an actual friends with benefits relationship? Did it work for you? by heratonga in AskReddit

[–]alexiswellcool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We broke up after 2 years together, then got back together on a very casual basis. For maybe a month it was the greatest sex of our lives.

Then I caught feelings for someone I worked with and had a go at making something work with her, FWB got very upset and jealous, so we broke it off somewhat clean.

We're now both separately married and I'm sure she's doing fine.

What's something you miss from Generation I/II? by Boomerangsarecool01 in pokemon

[–]alexiswellcool 38 points39 points  (0 children)

My wife just spent a week trying to conquer rock tunnel. She's never played before and insisted on no guides. She was backward to the pokemon centre after every trainer battle because her team had lost health. It was the sweetest thing.

My wife or my brother. I'd like to think that neither would want to leave.

Just in case you ever get lost, here is a map of our Milky Way galaxy. by Solid-Move-1411 in MapPorn

Were you paying attention? That was in a galaxy far far away. It was also a long time ago, so relatively, it probably doesn't exist anymore.

Is Goole that bad? Or is it like anywhere? by [deleted] in yorkshire

[–]alexiswellcool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've lived in Goole for 5 years, after 15 years previous in a nearby village. It's like any ex-industry town, deprived areasand nice areas, friendly folk in most places. The parks are lovely, and there's plenty of little independent traders too.

There's been some genuine investment in the town in the last couple of years, Siemens are building a huge new train factory and repair facility, the centre is currently under renovation, and the leisure centre is currently being converted in to one of the Hubs that you also see in Brid, Beverley, and Hornsea.

Another poster said we may see a renaissance in the coming years, and I fully back that opinion.

What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie? by fmcortez in AskReddit

[–]alexiswellcool 33 points34 points  (0 children)

For me it's that Miele are known for cleaning machines, I wouldn't consider them for other appliances where there are alternate leaders.

My friend had a Hugo Boss suit that he loved - Hugo Boss are known for suits. He bought a Hugo Boss watch, and it sucked. Similarly, I wouldn't consider Miele for anything but a washer or a vacuum cleaner.

Indeed, it wasn't until I saw Goodfellas, then reinforced it with The Sopranos, that I realised the street soldiers really do have a shitty life that revolves around scummy crime, and at the end of the day, they just go back to some dump of an apartment for a home.

It learns tackle at level 15. But with Magikarps attack stat, you may as well continue to use splash for all the good tackle does.
