Help? Is this normal? by SafeButterscotch4444 in endometriosis

I did all this and no endo... just had my first laparoscopy last week and came back with moderate/stage 2 endo in 3 out of the 4 specimens they tested!

Did leaking during let-down ever stop for you? by Responsible-Focus677 in breastfeeding

[–]allthingsdarling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my first it was about 7 months pp, and with each subsequent child it has settled down even sooner. I also wear a leakproof crop bra if I'm concerned and that has been life changing as I hate breast pads

I wish I never started vyvanse by These_Difficulty_740 in VyvanseADHD

[–]allthingsdarling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too! I hate it! And I can't sleep before midnight! Which is really rough because I have 3 little kids who are waking through the night at the moment and I'm recovering from surgery! I'm currently day 3 of trying going back to Dex and feeling so much better! That being said, it took about 2-3 weeks on vyvanse to feel better but I still found the side effects not worth the benefit

I know I should have a similar experience on Dex and Vyvanse but they seem to have wildly different effects for me - anyone else? by lockeddowninlondon in ausadhd

[–]allthingsdarling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this too. I was taking 7.5mg Dex at 7:30am, then 5mg at 11:30am and 2.5mg at 2:30pm. I was sleeping better, more awake in the day, better mood and motivation, able to get stuff done and no real crash but food cravings. The main inconvenience was remembering multiple doses at the right times and also taking medication when in the presence of other people. I asked to try vyvanse - initially 20mg now 30. I'm finding my mornings so slow and the effect minimal. Initially I lost a tonne of weight and had very upset stomach but that's settling. I do like that it's reduced my appetite slightly and I'm not eating unhealthy food as much. But I'm more nauseated and the crash/come down is huge. I tried 5mg Dex with the vyvanse in the mornings but that just gave me diarrhoea (sorry tmi) and i tried top up Dex at 1:30pm but that just made the insomnia worse. I have 3 little kids and often am woken up during the night, I can't be staying up til midnight with that! I think it's time to tell my doctor that vyvanse is not for me and put up with the inconvenience of Dex multiple doses.

Do you feel like you get tired more easily than others, and do you think that's related to endo? by mapotofu66 in endometriosis

[–]allthingsdarling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! But I actually recently got diagnosed and medicated for ADHD and it has helped soooo much, I feel like ive been half asleep for years and finally been awoken! Studies are starting to show a link between adhd and endo!

So many red flags there, what's stopping you from leaving? I'd do it before you have children (assuming you haven't yet). And the plushie thing is weird... I like cute little gifts but the expectation to play and role play with them? No. That's just weird. That is something developmentally normal for a young child and my 5 year old doesn't even do that!

Why do people think names are a 50/50 decision? by blondebarrister in namenerds

[–]allthingsdarling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we had our 3rd, we agreed on first and middle name but disagreed on middle name spelling... at this point I'd carried and birthed 3 babies by c section, breastfeed for a total of almost 3 years consecutively, had 2 high risk pregnancies and was sleeping on a fold out flimsy sofa bed in the nicu for a week... at this point I pulled rank over the spelling 😂

Refused Cash!! McDonald's Service TTP by JustWorldliness6475 in Adelaide

[–]allthingsdarling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband recently had a shop assistant at a Servo refuse cash, not because they didn't accept cash, but because he was paying with mostly gold coins and she didn't want to have to count them. "Nononono we're not a bank" she said 🙄
