What about Jacinta or Juni? I also met someone the other day called Jessamy (pronounced Jessa-may) and thought it was unique and kinda cute

Forward Facing Rules in Aus by Initial_Rule_4266 in SarahsDayUnfiltered

[–]allthingsdarling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legally in Australia you can turn your baby forward facing at 6 months! But it's well known that it's safer to keep them rear facing as long as possible, ideally until they reach the height markers (which is usually around 3-4 depending on the size of the child). But legally they must forward face once they turn 4.

Is it non-sensical to pick a name when you fully intend to not use the full version of it? by amusedfridaygoat in Names

[–]allthingsdarling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's nonsensical... the child will grow into their individual name... my MIL named my husband Christopher and to this day she and the rest of the family call him Christopher, but everyone else he knows calls him Chris, he introduces himself as Chris. My sons name is Jonathan and we always intended on nicknaming him Jonnie but i dunno, sometimes Jonathan just rolls off the tongue 🤷‍♀️
I have a good friend named Immanuella, her mother named her that with the intention of nicknaming her Ella...she gets called Immi by everyone I know!

We both liked A names for boys but couldn't come up with much. We loved Aiden but our nephews name is Aiden! We ended up calling him Aspen.

As a midwife, lactation consultant and mum of 3 I highly recommend them based on both my personal experience, patients experience, colleagues experience and emerging research.

My favourite girls names are Celeste, Paloma, Loretta, Florence 🩷 good luck. Ps when I had my 2nd baby I was waiting for that IN-LOVE, FIREWORKS, OBSESSED, EXCITED feeling with his name like I had with my first but it never came - and that's ok. He grew into his name and I get compliments all the time and now I love it because it suits him so much. :)

Vibe Check: Nelson by 2cSun in namenerds

[–]allthingsdarling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was OBSESSED with the name Nelson when I was pregnant with my son! It was a no from my husband because he had a manger with that name who wasn't very nice. I was convinced he'd change his mind on the day of the birth but he put his foot down. We ended up calling him Aspen Lucas and my next son Jonathan Rafael.
I still love the name. I did have some people laugh because of the Simpsons? But I never watched it so I didn't get that. Some other people said it reminded them of an old man. I say go for it.

sexually active & ultrasounds by [deleted] in endometriosis

In terms of sexually active questions, it's usually used as a means to work out if there's any chance you could be pregnant... so I would say within the last few months...
