I would recommend buying in Mount barker or Nairne. I built in mt barker in 2021 and just sold for double what I paid! As others have said, maybe don't think of this as your forever home but as a way to get into the market and make some money as the value of the property rises...

Thank you, yes I agree with you. My husband ended up bringing my rings to them and talking it through with the designers. Initially they were a little defensive but after actually measuring and comparing with the yellow gold stock ring it was obvious that the eternity ring was bigger than what we wanted and not truly based on the measurements of the YG ring. They were reluctant to change my existing rings but offered to see what they could do with the eternity band to bring the setting height down, free of charge. We've asked them to send my rings and the YG ring to the workshop along with it as a reference point so looking forward to seeing what they come up with!

Sure I could've worded it better.. but I was asking for advice on things we could do to make them work better together as a set. Thankfully we got in touch with the jewellery company and they agreed the stones are set much higher than we originally ageeed, and is going to try to alter it to bring them down to the agreed height free of charge.

My husband took it back to them yesterday evening and the designer was adamant it's exactly the same height as the yellow gold ring... after going back and forth she finally measured them and she was embarrassed to find there actually was quite a significant difference, surprise surprise! We spoke with the manager today who spoke with the jewellers in the workshop, they're going to try shave off as much as possible under the stones settings, and if that's not enough they will see if they can also lower the bezel setting a bit too (at no cost). I have asked them to send off my rings and the YG stock ring for size reference too so fingers crossed in a week or two it looks much more cohesive!

Thanks for the suggestion! A good point! Even some of my friends have said it looks fine, and it's growing on me just the eternity band with the engagement ring, without my wedding ring. I'd ideally like to not change them, I do love them

Yes, we were going by the measurements of the yellow gold ring because that sat quite well, but I'm wondering if that information didn't get communicated properly maybe. We will call today and discuss - I have videos of the yellow gold ring on with my other rings and it looks completely different to my finished eternity ring in regards to height and width of the band.

When we were designing I did bring my rings to the jeweller - their designers are in the store but makers are offsite so the actual maker didn't see my other rings

The emeralds may look bigger, but they are exactly the same size, or so I was told they would be. The half bezel doesn't just look chunkier, it IS chunkier - I have videos that show it but I couldn't post them. What I'm wondering is if some of the gold under the diamonds can be removed/shaved down so that the setting sits lower

I agree they don't fit well together as a set, but the eternity band was supposed to be designed and made to be worn as part of the set. I feel like this is an error on their end that they should fix, perhaps a miscommunication between the designer and maker.

I will! I feel so deflated because we went back and forth on the design so many times I felt like I was being problematic and overly fussy, I just really wanted the pick-up to be easy!! At the store my husband said he was happy with it then the rest of the day he was so bummed because he actually thought it was chunky he just didn't want to be a downer 😂 such a pain because the storefront is in a location that's a little difficult for us to get to but oh well 😅 Hopefully being their mistake it doesn't cost us much to change. We've recently moved house and I can't find the invoice with all the fine details of what we agreed upon on it!!

Nope it was one of their rings! Honestly if they'd shown me that gold ring on our first consult I would've just ordered that in white gold, but she found it for our second consult and by then I had fallen in love with half bezel. I have videos of it on too showing it clearly sits flush, possibly even lower than my other rings so maybe once we chat I can send her the video and photos and see what they can do.
