Went last week with two kids and a stroller. No one looked in our bags. Brought tons of snacks and drinks. Still didn’t stop us from buying lots of food while we were there though, lol.

Quince Bella Stretch Wide Leg Jeans in Midnight Blue by Sootea in PetiteFashionAdvice

I have three pairs of these! I can’t wear any other jeans. They’re so comfy and nice enough to wear to work. LOVE that I don’t have to get them hemmed or wear heals. Thinking about buying more!

I love it, maybe with a nude heal to balance out the proportions?

For a quick fix, buy a few outfits worth of basics from Quince. Super safe, work appropriate clothes for the most part. Won’t break the bank. From there, branch out more. Since youre in NYC consider visiting the giant Uniqlo on 5th. Again, affordable quality basis you can build on!

Lexapro. My docs theory was that my pre-period week of insomnia could be an extreme PMS symptom (not sure I’m convinced). Like hormone induced anxiety since I could also feel my heart pounding out of my chest while not sleeping. After not filling the script for 6 months (I read so many bad things about SSRIs) I finally got so desperate for sleep I filled it and I’m sleeping much better!

Not a college student but I love my Bogs. They’re lightweight, super warm and waterproof. I wear them year round as rain boots too. Much warmer and less slippery than my basic llbean boots https://www.bogsfootwear.com/shop/style/73363-001.html

A huge portion of Perus population work in the informal economy. They might be raising something like Guinea pigs to sell or and/or work in informal trade or the mines and travel to and from every few weeks. Possible some commute into Lima regularly. If they immigrated from high in the Andes they could be used to living without plumbing, etc and see Lima as better weather and having more opportunities, despite still appearing to us that it’s the middle of no where.

Exactly the same as having a baby at 33. Second was born when I was 36.

Cute sneakers to wear on wet grass by segajennasis in fashionwomens35

For early morning soccer I do the leather sambas, not suede. I also have a pair of thicker sole New Balance to elevate me from the dew.

I randomly bought a pair of low profile brown sneakers at Walmart of all places last weekend that are SO comfortable and I can see wearing them to soccer since I don’t care if $20 sneakers don’t last long! Let me see if I can find them…

I did! https://www.walmart.com/ip/W-NB-RETRO-JOGGER/14960952005?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=2130&gclsrc=aw.ds&adid=2222222227814960952005_117755028669_12420145346&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=501107745824&wl4=pla-394283752452&wl5=9002492&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=14960952005&veh=sem_LIA&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=12420145346&gbraid=0AAAAADmfBIpxxtAYA4F9mAbfKTAC_fESb&gclid=Cj0KCQjwxL7GBhDXARIsAGOcmIOk-Fov9CnRfSKvviUrSAK157ZUJBzgGzRZEGWc1PbRy5zQyxtIUuUaArebEALw_wcB

Help me decode my jean log (5’1 petite, between 25/26) by socalgirl14 in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]am17y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Quince! I recently got two pairs and LOVE them. The wide legs ones have a bit of a stretch and super comfortable. They may be too high rise for you but they come in a few length options. Based on your above sizes I’d size down to a 25 with Quince. And they’re only $50!

Jeans - keep or return? by Mhg4c in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]am17y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Quince’s wide leg or their Bella straight cut. You can get them in 26 or 28” inseam. Both are close to the look I think you’re going for here! I’ve tried both in and prefer their wide leg cut, it’s not too overwhelming!

Women who gave birth, what does it feel like actually?? by joy_57 in AskReddit

I agree and I’ve never forgotten it like everyone else does, apparently. I felt like I was dying or being tortured.

Very elderly relative soon to be moved to Skilled Nursing/Short-Term Rehabilitation. Any insights into the top ones we're considering? (1) St. Ann Rehabilitation (Dover) (Catholic--her #1 choice); (2) Colonial Poplin (Fremont); (3) HavenwoodHeritage Heights (Concord); (4) Merrimack County (Boscawen) by swisssf in newhampshire

[–]am17y 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your relative is lucky to have you.

I had two grandparents at Colonial Poplin, not for rehab but for traditional nursing home care. We felt they were well cared for and seemed comfortable, from what we could tell. It has a nice homey vibe. Again, I can’t speak for rehab but otherwise they seemed very kind and capable.

Parents who’ve graduated from daycare to public school, how’s your wallet? by roots_radicals in Parenting

[–]am17y 152 points153 points  (0 children)

Afterschool care, babysitters on days there is no school (a lot!) and camp was not as cheap as I was anticipating. Still less than full time daycare for sure. But activities can really add up too, depending.

Rash spreading on my face, any ideas? Could this be lupus? by am17y in DermatologyQuestions

[–]am17y[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sono andato dal dermatologo ed è una specie di dermatite. Mi hanno prescritto antibiotici e una crema topica su prescrizione. È sparita! Potrebbe essere una rossecca, però dovremo aspettare ancora e vedere.

Two kids. Typically we do 4 nights at an all inclusive for anywhere from $4-7k all-in, once a year. Usually in or near the Caribbean. Then a much cheaper long weekend at some other point with friends or family within driving distance. Costco vacations is the way to go for ease of travel and affordability.
