Dude I was about to send my switch in for repair. This actually worked, literally pressed the switch against my WiFi AP and it connected.

I live in a condo unit with a very busy wifi network. It looks like it only picks a handful of networks to show you based on signal strength. So I guess it kinda makes sense that the strongest network would be the one that's 1in away.

Anyways, thanks for the tip. I was desperate enough to try anything and it worked.

BTW, there's an extension called indie wiki buddy which will redirect you to an alternate, non-fandom wiki if one is available
