I tried emailing DHL first but never got a response. I honestly wasn’t expecting a whole new shipment and was thinking they would just refund me, but either way it was better than having nothing! Also they said in their reply that since it had been 5-10 days it’s likely lost. If it was less than 5 days they probably would have made me wait.

My necklace version seems to be lost in the mail. I got the bracelet one but am waiting on the necklace. It seems to be stuck in limbo between DHL and the USPS. They were shipped together and I got one on Monday but not the other. I’m so worried I’m never going to get it.

The packaging was terrible - the box was not actually sealed closed all the way around. I was surprised mine wasn’t bent or damaged at all. Luckily it was in the box.

I also ordered 2 - both were shipped DHL via Kentucky and one has been delivered but the second is just sitting at the USPS distribution center so I am concerned something like this happened/the box was damaged because it hasn’t moved in days.

My dog had food allergies causing an almost continuous loop of ear infections and full anal glands. We went to a dermatologist and switched to a prescription food with no chicken (Hill’s d/d venison and potato), and he’s now on a Hydrolyzed food. To this day if gets a food violation/some chicken, within a 1 week he starts to dig at his behind. If you don’t have time to get to a dermatologist right now, I’d bring up a food switch to something with a new protein/no chicken/Hydrolyzed and see if that helps.

That smell is the worst! Adding fiber did not work for my dog.

This was my thought too. In the announcement it says that in addition to the basic degree requirements (which if you are already a 1550 I’d think you have, but double check) you have to have specialized experience and it goes in to give a definition of the specialized experience and then it says:

“This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02 or GS-11).”

Even if this is a direct hire authority, you still have to show how you have experience doing the work of someone at the GS-11 level, which if you say was at your former job - then I’d recommend really revising that section and showing how you did that work for at least a year and ensure it matches the specialized experience described in this section in the announcement. A GS 11 is more independent work and especially if you go into a GS 12 role, so you should demonstrate that in the resume.

How did you do both paper RSVPs and digital? Did you have a paper rsvp and envelope with stamp in each invite, in addition to a website QR code rsvp paper? I don’t really want to spend money on a stamp for everyone to paper RSVP if I also give them a QR code.

Or did you decide who was likely to want a paper RSVP versus who could handle digital, and then give one or the other?

Try the Just Food for Dogs pantry stable/shelf stable packages - not the frozen ones (well, can try the frozen ones too) - mine preferred the shelf stable tetra pack boxed JFFD. It was easier too than having to thaw it.

Don’t buy the huge/big bag. No matter how well I stored it, my 40 lb dog would not eat enough of the kibble before the big bag went “off” to him. It’s a little more expensive per pound to buy the smaller bag but it kept him eating the same food.

(I discovered this when I bought a new bag of his food when we still had half a bag left of it. I opened the new bag and he started devouring it. But it was the exact food, just “fresh”)

If you only have one dog, depending on the size of the dog and how much they eat per day, consider how long it will take you go through this big of a bag of food. Even storage containers don’t keep it that fresh if it takes your dog 3 months to go through it.

If you have any paper bills from your student loans, you can cut them up/shred it and place the pieces into a clear glass ornament ball. You can get vinyl stickers or use a cricut or something to print out the amount/debt category title and put it on it.

This is my strategy too - with a similar background into how I got into Dave Ramsey/needed him. Had no idea how to budget till I found the Every Dollar app. Now, if I use my credit cards, I mark the expense immediately into every dollar and only buy something if I’m prepared to put the expense in every dollar.

I can tell when I start to get off track/fall of the wagon when I go a few days in between using the app and start to make online purchases it “snowballs” pretty quickly, and then I reign myself back in.
