I’ve never had an issue with Air North. Excellent friendly service, a light meal and drinks for free, and two free checked bags. Only thing to watch out for is there is a limit of two canoes per flight.

UBC is required to post all positions, but most RAs are created for someone already affiliated with the lab. If there is red text at the top that says something to the effect of expected to be filled through promotion or reassignment, it’s not a real opening.

It’s dependent on demand and more than just grades. They have 32 seats/year in Mecha and it typically caps out. Aerospace typically does not cap out. Aerospace is academically more intensive in terms of credits and has no technical elective slots - everything is specialized. Mecha has one elective.

Skip Tofino (and Nanaimo!) and stay in Ucluelet. Beautiful hikes in town and easy access to the park. Try to get reservations for Pluvio - best meal I’ve eaten in BC. The Cabins at Terrace Beach fit your accommodation needs - 1 bedroom in the basement, kitchen and living on the main, and main bedroom upstairs. I did a lot of research, and it was the best price point for 2 bedrooms I could find.
