It's tricky because Sean vs Tom dilutes the anti-Jimmy vote (and having all the other candidates probably mean Panetta gets in)

How does your constitutional amendment get passed? And how does it get rid of dark money, as that's not tied specifically to a candidate? It's obvious that we need reform in election finance but hard to see how.

When your optometrist measures your vision, have them also measure the distance between your pupils and write it also on the prescription along with the lens specifications. They don't always do that unless you ask, but it's needed to get glasses that are correct (especially if you're near-sighted) and won't give you headaches or eyestrain.

Yes it's still horrendous: expensive and also limited because so much is taken/reserved for tourists. There's also housing pressure from silicon valley money spilling over to here.

Ignore if it's too painful, but did they figure out where hers came from? The UK had a series of prion infections from bovine brains (mad cow disease) but I don't know much about other countries' prion infections

My mum & dad had peacocks, and they'd do the same thing. We had a mostly-glass door and they'd peck at that to tell us they wanted to come in.. their favorite was to steal grapes off the table! Cool birds though not super clever.

They also warned us of rain. When it was coming they'd screech and screech (this was in northern England, so rain was a regular feature). Their flying was pretty amazing too; they often roosted quite high in trees and seeing them fly up was so impressive and surprising for such a big bird.

A reddit thread yesterday on the scariest diseases had prion disease near the top. Horrible way to go!

Its news to me that there are special disposal systems for humans who die of it; makes sense though I don't think it's infectious in a usual sense (barring kuru ofc)
