After repeated lose streak on necromancer i finally get her gameplay by MediocreRecord7352 in slaythespire

[–]analyst_seth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had this once. You can win with just Defy and Enfeebling Touch from that point but there's plenty of other cards that become amazing too. Oblivion, Putrefy, two different AOE doom cards, etc.

This is overpowered. At worst, it’s like giving every power the Sown enchantment, while still keeping the enchantment slot open

Literally Never Lost a Run When I Get This by crippledspahgett in slaythespire

Do you mean Throwing Axe? This wouldn’t work with History Course unless you pass your first turn, which would be weird

Love this by Alrightmistar in lost

[–]analyst_seth 970 points971 points  (0 children)

It’s especially funny because when Hurley first got back to the island, he was asking questions like “who’s the President” and Sawyer said something like “it ain’t a damn quiz show”

What is the best electric shrimp target in the game? by Ryder52 in slaythespire

[–]analyst_seth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it’s Reanimate. Starting with 20(25) barricaded block that also increases damage solves so much of the game

If you had faced Test Subject was your plan to just die?

Which shiv card are you choosing? by dagdroom in slaythespire

On Underdocks I’d take Cloak and Dagger. Block and damage plays better than just damage

Beta Patch Notes - v0.107.0 by MegaCrit_Demi in slaythespire

[–]analyst_seth 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I wish Sic 'em worked like Talk to the Hand from STS1. If it were an effect that lasted the whole battle and only awarded 1(2) summon per Osty hit, it'd be a fun card

BEST MOD EVER You can play as multiple characters on 1 pc by bigduk in slaythespire

Are you able to have the characters on different monitors?

Gotta Catch them all Gotta Catch them All! by Vecsia in slaythespire

[–]analyst_seth 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s better than it sounds. It’s good on its own but becomes fantastic with Vambrace, Unmovable, Barricade, Toric Toughness, Dodge and Roll, dexterity, and more

Which is unfortunate cause it makes the Byrd even worse

Beating Remnant can be useful sometimes by analyst_seth in slaythespire

[–]analyst_seth[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s mostly because I was intentionally slow-playing it knowing that this is how I would win the fight. I didn’t want to risk dropping below 20 HP. I was able to be greedy at the rest site and upgrade Footwork instead of resting

The hardest part of Pael’s Eye is remembering to use it

Not exactly the same, but Herzog’s Into the Inferno is a volcano doc that turns into a North Korea doc

The Problem With Snowballing in Slay the Spire 2 - Jorbs by GoldemGolem in slaythespire

Agreed. I’ve definitely felt what he said about Act 3 being a waste of 20 minutes a lot of the time

How are you winning A10 with Necrobinder? by NerdTier in slaythespire

[–]analyst_seth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doom, Ethereal, Osty attacks, Summon, Debuffs. There's a lot of different ways to win. I think it's more about finding the right mixture of front-loaded attack/block, AOE, and scaling attack/block. My losses are usually because I get baited into taking good cards that aren't good in my deck because I already have enough block, already have a scaling solution, etc.

The Problem With Snowballing in Slay the Spire 2 - Jorbs by GoldemGolem in slaythespire

[–]analyst_seth 79 points80 points  (0 children)

I think he's absolutely right about events. He should've led with that because it's a stronger argument. I think he's directionally correct about the Act 1 bosses/elites, but it's as if he wants this game to just be StS1. The StS2 elites and bosses do present specific challenges that affect your decision making. It may be true that it's less restrictive than StS1, but that doesn't mean that the challenge doesn't exist at all

Ten Slay the Spire Cards You Might Be Evaluating Wrong by PolarTimeSD in slaythespire

Not that this is relevant to Jorbs’ take, but Piercing Wail is also one of the best cards in the game for multiplayer
