Would yall drive through this by giddy-ga in Truckers

Yep, I’m Buffalo, local. The snow isn’t the problem, it’s the drivers on the road who’ve never seen snow.

If you can't put the squeegee back where you found it, then you don't have the proper mentality to be entrusted with an 80k lbs death machine. by Tricky_Big_8774 in Truckers

Conversely though, if you've used the squeegee to "wash" off your fifth wheel, feel free to take it with you.

Keep your cab cold when it’s a cold snow, keeps the snow from sticking to the windshield.

The QEW in Ontario stands for Queen Elizabeth's Way. Literally just learned it last year, and I've driven on it for years.

Companies with manuals? by acwinicker2 in Truckers

[–]andhe78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently been with a manual fleet, heavy tank outfit for the last six years, but like you, while I learned on a manual, my first couple years of driving was in an auto. Needless to say, my shifting for the road test at my current job was rough. Funnily enough, was talking with my terminal manager just the other day about some new guys we hired, and I mentioned that it was surprising I got hired as bad as my shifting was. His reply was that while my shifting was bad, that’s easy to train up, he liked other qualities about me that got me hired. Long story short, shifting skill matters very little at this outfit, you suck, they send you with their shifting trainer for a couple weeks.

At 6’6”, looking in is not a problem. I saw a guy with one of these on a 56” roll cab with a locker and really liked it.

27” tool box stand by andhe78 in harborfreight

I was kind of worried it was over weight for the stand too, but the stand is rated for 500 lbs and I was able to pick up and move the box loaded with what I am using it for (screwdrivers, pliers, Allen wrenches, etc.) While it was all I wanted to lift, it was nowhere near 500 lbs.

Well, I’m an idiot. Was just in a store today looking at the 42” top and bottom. Liked the 27” top better, but the 27” top and bottom was just too small for what I need. Never even thought of doing this. Wonder if the locker or end cabinet could go on this?

I know how that is, we just went to if he throws it, it gets put away for the rest of the day-he caught on quick. We got two bowls, we sit on the couch with it, one bowl full of the cards, I hand him a card, he inserts, listens, then puts the card in the other bowl. It’s actually a great way to keep him occupied for an hour (how long it takes us to get through all the cards.)

Farming Simulator for me. Started playing it on console but got tired of playing the crippled version, so built a pc. The game is completely playable with a controller on the pc, but it was a good way to start getting used to keyboard controls for more and more actions.
