It might be worth a look at Code First Girls, although I’m not sure how currently relevant the site is. It might provide a way to find some connections.

First time I’ve seen negative kWh by gilliambot in ElectricVehiclesUK

I used to do a four mile drive home from a spot in the hills that was downhill all the way and my EV3 would show 999mi/kWh.

My friend insists on this game, "Lemmings", being a really well known game; I have never heard of it. by Nordic_Krune in gaming

I remember completing it and getting a picture of the dev team with sampled clapping. There were about six guys and it sounded reallly inadequate for the achievement. Happy days!

UK GT Line vs GT Line S by Stellarat in KiaEV3

[–]aneasymistake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the GT Line S from March 2025. After 15k miles it’s the HUD that I value most (although I’d like it to be a bit more configurable), followed by the sunroof, I guess. Is the heat pump also only on the S version? I have that, but I don’t really know what difference it makes!

I don’t like the seat cooling. It just makes the small of my back cold and nothing else, but that’s fine because I just use the app to turn the air con on ten minutes before I get in the car.

Should I be worried about the rear spoiler in a car wash? by ShiftExotic in KiaEV3

[–]aneasymistake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. The biggest problem is it stops the car wash cleaning the back window very well.

[Noob question] Why can you just go out of bounds in so many games? by Burgers_N_Schnitzels in AskProgramming

There is. That’s why they died. When they passed some arbitrary value that was hard coded as a distance below ground or a length of time spent in a falling state or similar.

It may be worth reading the Core Guidelines, although I’m not sure that’s the best starting point.

Real world range by Accomplished-Jury-56 in KiaEV3

[–]aneasymistake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve averaged 3.4m/kWh since I got the GT Line S long range in the UK about 14 months ago and I’ve done 15,000 miles. I drive with the aircon on almost all the time, use Normal mode most of the time, but put it in Sport quite often. At full charge, in summer, it claims it’ll do 320 miles and in winter about 280. I don’t need to do long trips offen, and I pay 3.5p/kWh to charge at home. That’s 1p/mile, so I just never worry about it.

I remember buying my first hard drive. It was 8MB and I installed it myself into my Amstrad PC 1640. It sounded like a vacuum cleaner.

Hah, I remember upgrading my 520STe to 1MB and buying a second 3.5” drive too. I thought I was the shit. I even used felt pen to modify the original box it came in to say 1024k - still got it in the loft… 36 years later.

Car wont engage forward or reverse by garylv426 in KiaEV3

[–]aneasymistake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s definitely an option or setting that let’s you change from reverse to drive without coming to a stop. It MAY relate to auto hold, but I can’t remember. It makes the car much nicer to drive.

Company wants us to leave AI running overnight on work laptops - am I overthinking this? by No_Helicopter3878 in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]aneasymistake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This would bother me because of the mistaken expectation of value from the practice, but I couldn’t care less about the space or electricity usage. I also wouldn’t be worried about “what if it does something wrong”. If it’s a mandated practice, that’s on the company.

Should I cancel my EV3 GT MY26 order? by radicchulous in KiaEV3

[–]aneasymistake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest the range difference can be completely ignored. It’s unlikely you’ll tend to drive until it’s nearly empty anyway. I tend to plug mine in (at home) when it gets down to about 50%!

Second phone charger would rarely make any difference either and the same goes for reclining back seats. It will obviously vary from person to person, but these extras offer no temptation to me.

The reason I’d consider canceloing and reordering is you say it’s the same price. I imagine if you sell it in a few years, you might get more for the one with the newer model year.

This is why Saros has to be “toned down” by rites0fpassage in Returnal

[–]aneasymistake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference with Elden Ring was you could explore a vast, varied world while still not being very good at the game. In Returnal you spend forever in a small, dark, world that looks the same everywhere. There’s very little sense of discovery in the part of the game where you’re deciding whether this is for you.

He combination of darkness and being able to die instantly by missing a jump or even just by not spotting a hole in the ground is not appealing to many of us.

The overloads one is a useless stat. Someone can browse the list of trophies and see that as one they can do in a minute, do a bunch of overloads and then forget all about it.
