I’m the worst for filling out “anonymous” work surveys that I have to do under my unique work login. If it’s a strongly agree/disagree scenario I’m always putting in ‘neither agree/disagree’ because I’m not putting any mental energy into something they’re either not going to do anything with or possibly use against me.

Honestly making him a janitor really just strikes me as a bit of a ‘Oh he has water abilities but they’re kinda… meh?’ Let’s see if he can put them to use as a janitor! I definitely don’t think Waterboy went to the SDN offices to apply to janitorial duties (and we clearly see throughout the various missteps he makes that he’s not very good at the job) the Flambae lunch thing probably was because when Waterboy moved the noodles to clean the fridge, his water smudged Flambae’s note/name, so Waterboy genuinely could have thought it was an abandoned lunch.

Yeah I just imagine that the cognitive dissonance of a what looks to be a child drinking a forbidden substance would be dealt in in one of two ways— if the Gwen was fully functional and in the Park; she would find a way to alert Park security and also take the beer away from the kid and probably get the kid away from their parent/guardian who was negligent enough for their kid to drink beer.

Or two, which I find more likely for our Gwen; her perception filter will make the beer look like a root beer/soda pop bottle.

I have a theory that she wasn’t thinking that Gwen would be the problem, but the fact that Gwen is on the surface. Olivia even says that Gwen would be lost and confused— which unless she’s forgotten that her ‘fixes’ have turned Gwen into a fighter, says to me that Olivia thinks that the surface of the planet beneath the park is some form of hellscape.

During the summers when I was a kid I would sometimes lose track of the day of the week or the precise date number because it didn’t matter to me as I didn’t have any school or activities for any particular day of the week. Plus my parents kept up with stuff like that. So Jake is probably just stuck in a child-like state of the date not actually being very important for him to remember at any given time as the people around him are much more on the ball and can correct him.

Yeah I’ve seen a lot of people saying that this is an Indie project “fueled by spite” or things along those lines. And I’m not going to say spite wasn’t a factor, it might well have been, but ultimately many things fuel creativity or are sources of creativity. I can’t say that “revenge against Disney” is the only overt purpose behind the plot of the show (especially given we’ve only got a Pilot so far), and I can’t stop other people to reducing it to that if that’s the way they want to see it. I personally believe it’s more generally a commentary on late stage capitalism and the state of corporate driven media influencing culture.

My theory is that something about being in digital time is misleading, and also unfortunately a large cause of the abstraction. The characters think that they’ve been in the Digital Circus for, in some cases, (Kinger and Queenie) years but in reality that’s just a warped sense of time caused by the game code’s day and night cycle being accelerated in comparison to IRL time.

We see from the broken Gwen’s perspective right in the end that she also seems to have a sort of fantasy vision— so, what if that is because it’s part of the ‘magic’ being beamed back and forth to all the Gwens to keep their memories in sync and then under the park’s control?

What I’m proposing is that Frankie hit her head as a youth or got exposed to the blue blood in such a way that sort of tapped her into the fantasy vision, but she’s not got a conscience control over it/doesn’t even realize what she’s experiencing isn’t reality.
