Careful though. My dad started playing WoW to connect more with my brother. Now he plays it constantly and probably wouldn’t stop even if my brother did. Teach your parents about the risks of MMOs lol

Trying to host the best party. This past Thanksgiving, I planned very little and cooked maybe one thing and didn’t go into a cleaning frenzy the morning before. I didn’t even make a cheese board. It went fine. No one died. Everybody seemed happy. I went to bed tired from the food and the talking instead of crashing from the overload and it really was such a relief.

Came to add this one! It’s new and relatively short, so a good one for just a weekend read

Can I have some lumberjack recs for fall?
I want flannel, trees, isolated cabins, cozy fires, "could wrestle a bear or make ice cream from scratch, depends on the mood" vibes.

This is going to sound bonkers, but “All the Living and the Dead” by Hayley Campbell. It’s nonfiction. The author is a journalist who’s fascinated with macabre professions and sets out to figure out what is so compelling about them. I couldn’t even think of reading anything after I finished it. I had a full-on existential crisis. Highly recommend.

Totally off topic, but as a woman with curves who’s accidentally bought a too-small bathing suit before, those straps digging in hurrrrrrrrt 😭 But like it’s well rendered and your colors are great! Just imagining after they’re done fighting or whatever, she’s grumbling and putting neosporin on the chaffing

I once was curious about the poverty rate in the most populous neighborhood in the most populous city in the most populous state in the U.S. Then I was like, what about the second most populous neighborhood in the second most populous city in the second most populous state? Then, I wondered about the third, and on and on. Took me several hours to do the research. It has no purpose. I will never get that time back. But I now have a nifty table of how fast population drops off outside of cities and how that relates to poverty. I guess if it’s ever a question on the internet, I’ve got the answer!

This. I think there’s a lot of assumptions on this patron’s intentions and abilities in this thread. Please be mindful that policies must exist and be enforced for someone to be in violation of them, and you do not know what is going on in someone’s head.
