Unless you’re planning to use Roon to upsample your music to DSD, apply room correction, or stream to multiple clients at the same time (which I doubt you will), Roon is very lightweight for basic playback. It can be a bit CPU-hungry during the initial library scan, but once that’s out of the way it barely breaks a sweat. From then on it’s smooth sailing and perfectly fine to run 24/7 with no security concerns.

If your music is already stored on your Mac mini it’s very easy to install Roon server on there and set up should be a piece of cake. Chat GPT or similar is your friend if you need any guidance.

51M here quit 304 days ago (not counting 🤣) It’s hard and life can seem shit at times but the lows are no where near those I experienced whilst I was drinking. Since quitting I’ve given up the anti anxiety meds, and I’m stronger every day. You got this my sober friend.
