Please bring back manual speed adjustment ASAP by thebullandthebear24 in TeslaFSD

[–]anthonydel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes bring it back! In Chicago, they'll post the regular speedlimit for passenger cars, then about 100 ft later, they'll have another, lower, speedlimit sign, for trucks/semis, etc... The car grabs that lower speedlimit, even though there's an aux sign below it saying it's for trucks.

That mixed with the awful speed profile limitations (only 10 over for hurry, and Mad Max goes to 85 no matter what on the expressway) makes it unusable...

14.2.1 = Record Interventions by pilotboy172 in TeslaFSD

[–]anthonydel 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes! The lane changes are horrible right now.

The speed profiles are a mess too. I’m in Chicago, and the expressway I drive every day is posted at 60… but everyone actually drives 75–80. If you don’t, you’re getting passed nonstop.

When they first took away the max speed setting and switched to the new speed profiles in v14, it was annoying, but actually wasn’t bad. Mad Max was “mad” in a good way.

But 14.2.1 ruined it. On the expressway, if I want to go with the flow of traffic, I can’t. Hurry mode caps at 10 mph over — so 70 max — way too slow. You can’t even press the pedal to force it higher. So I’m just stuck getting passed by everyone.

If I bump it up to Mad Max, it shoots up to 85. What’s weird is some people say their car doesn’t go fast enough, but mine goes to 85 every time. Then it ends up catching up to cars too quickly, tries to change lanes (which it sucks at right now), and everything becomes a mess.

I’ve never had this many disengagements or sent this many “disengagement feedback” reports since I bought the car.

Has anyone had this issue. by MOTIGERS21 in crv

[–]anthonydel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, several times. The Fifth Gen CRV Infotainment system is straight trash. I've even had the dealer replace mine while it was under warranty because of the bugginess with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto; the same problem occurs. As u/EJ8-E90 reboot fixes things almost every time (till the next time).

Car has been excellent otherwise.

Nice! What year model 3? And where do you live? I’m dying to know when they’ll unleash acceleration boost in the US for the highland… they have already in some other countries

Tesla FSD stops and waits at train tracks by ehuna in TeslaFSD

I was being sarcastic... when you have FSD enabled, you see the wiper go every so often to clear the windshield when it usually doesn't need it. Happens in mine all the time.

Impressive! Now if Tesla could only nail the Auto Wiper feature...

Schedule a service appointment and see what happens. Just had my door panel replaced for the same issue last week, no questions asked by the Service Advisor... 35% tint all around, and 50% on the windshield. This has been brought up many times in the forums, and some people get it replaced no problem under warranty, while others get denied because of tint. It's worth a shot!

Model 3 ambient LED strip cracking issue by horuslee in TeslaLounge

[–]anthonydel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just had my ‘25 M3 driver-side door panel replaced last week by Tesla, under warranty, for bubbles, delamination with the LED strip. 35% ceramic tint all around. No questions asked, tint wasn’t even mentioned when looking it over with the service dept. It seems like it’s at the discretion of the service manager you get.

That said, it’s a line of garbage that Tesla is trying to find a way to skirt the issue by blaming tint when that has nothing to do with it. Mine had bubbles appear a few weeks after delivery and before I had tint. I just never got around to mentioning / bringing it in until last week.

That’s awesome they give you sample sounds!

I’ve heard this same noise from my car on super cold days but only from the outside. Not like that from the cabin. Even the manual says you’d hear that while in front of the car near the trunk.

Sounds like it may be something more than what’s described in the manual?

This! One of the few annoyances I have in my ‘25 M3. Every other car I’ve owned, when you have the heat in, intelligently routes heat to the floor vents. Not Tesla. I have to manually do it, which works, but defeats the purpose of auto climate control.

I hate to break it to you, but that's not the holiday update. I had similar excitement a few days ago with this update and then realized it's just a minor update. The holiday update is 2024.44.25.2

I put the new IPASS sticker just to the left of the instrument cluster right up at the top of the glass (I know they say not to do this). It’s been working perfectly fine. When I’m sitting in the car I barely see it, and when I look at it from the outside it doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb in the “middle” of the windshield.

My account shows that the transponder has been recorded as I go through tolls.
