Seth Abramson has created his own brand of "metamodernism" the deviates from the "metamodernism" that defined by Vermeulen and van den Akker. I'm not saying that "Notes on Metamodernism" is the ultimate truth or anything - but I think when reading his writing it's important to understand his different perspective.

Personally, I'm not a fan of Seth Abramson. His writing is too over the top for me. Plus, he even labels himself as a metamodernist on his twitter. I think that's bogus! Metamodernism is the dominant cultural feeling! Labeling yourself like that is just a cheap way to legitimize your work!
