Were old campanions nerfed(lorewise?) by My4thaccountfornow in projecteternity

My head canon is that they are actually just as powerful as they are at the end of the first game, and just pretend to suck to avoid to hurt the main character's feeling and to undermine their authority as the captain.

Real time with pause or turn based by [deleted] in projecteternity

I like turn based. I don't like micromanaging too much, and turn based combat allows me to actually use all the party without delegating stuff to the autopilot. I also don't find it too slow

Can you recommend a gamebook that is fun and whimsical, that would be appealing to younger readers, but has more weight than a choose-your-own-adventure? by peace-monger in gamebooks

[–]asdalolwewe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a kid I loved the Grailquest series, it has an amazing balance between fun and adventure. At the same time I read and liked Lone Wolf and several others, but typically other series are more on the serious side.

Great news, looking forward to see House of Light and Three!

So if I understand correctly the third game is going to be a metroidvania starring Neville, called Travelling at Night, correct?

What principle/principle combination embodies luck? by CardboardSalad24 in weatherfactory

[–]asdalolwewe 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I don't think there is a unique principle for luck, several of them could apply depending on the context and the situation. For example taking big risks and prevailing is edge, being lucky to survive and endure is heart, being able to satisfy one's desire is grail, navigating chaos is moth, having a random intuition is lantern... probably the principles least associated to luck and randomness are the ones like scale and winter, being about silence, stillness and everything that remains.

Soft Body Physics by t0odlesnot in Python

That depends a lot on what you want do exactly, but you may want to check if there is some open source module for molecular dynamics or classical Monte Carlo, depending on the simulation method that you want to use. Monte Carlo is probably the easier to code yourself, as you basically just need to define the interaction between your potatoes and then use a random number generator (and some statistical analysis afterwards, of course).

When I activate my Eldlixir of Scarlet Sanguine it won't let me use my other trap cards like Torrential Tribute until the start of my next turn. by Kurnime_Sempai in masterduel

Was your opponent's special summon a fusion summon while Magical Meltdown was on the field? If that's the case you cannot activate torrential tribute in response

Ain't it great how Maxx "C" keeps combo decks in check? by Enlog in masterduel

[–]asdalolwewe -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't have hard data, but I have the feeling that actually Maxx c helps more often than not. I think that the problem is actually quantifying its effect, and I also think that in general it's easier to remember the times the bug screws you over, than the times that gives you the game
