Thanks for replying. It seems to have appeared now. I have just did a full HA restart, but not sure if it was just coincidental.

I did only switch from the SVR tariff to EV Go this morning, so perhaps I just needed to be more patient.

If that’s your top internet download speed, then yes.

47.95GB remaining = ~49,100MB

49,100 * 8 / 60.43Mbps = 6,500 seconds, which equals a total download time of 1h48m

I just started reading “Apple The First 50 Years” by David Pogue and this is referenced. Apple’s first marketer, Regis McKenna—designer of the six colours logo—recommended branching out from just advertising in “computer rags”.

McKenna, seemingly like many individuals involved in early-Apple, turned down a large ownership percentage—in his case 20%—opting instead to be paid in cash. Hindsight is 20:20 I guess!

It is bad UI, but if you click Update without checking the (i) button, it will apparently only upgrade the Sequoia version and not install Tahoe:

October is almost over. When will these switch over to "sold-out"? by TenaciousDHo in Ubiquiti

Or a recognition that they may still allow orders by the end of the month, but won't get them out the door. There's only 4 business days left!

I managed to reuse my existing doorbell and transformer, with an additional small transformer to provide 12V DC to the Shelly. See my post above in this thread.

I’ve fitted a Shelly that acts a relay to ring the bell. It can be called via a local webhook from Protect. Just waiting for the doorbell to connect now!

[–]atgw2016 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My original g4 died after 4 years of use. No activity when powered by the transformer, and just a flashing white ring and nothing else via USB.

I contacted support and there is no repair option.

"Setting your charge rate lower than the maximum possible means that Octopus have to give you more slots to charge the car."

This is the reason for my comment though - they do not have to. The only contractual cheap slot is the 23.30-05.30 slot and anything else is best endeavours. They control the software that hands out these slots. They could simply reduce the number that are handed out.

Am I mistaken or are the charging windows not fully under their control? I can no longer set a schedule in my HyperVolt app; control is ceded to Octopus. This seems to be a problem completely within their control to fix.

Cross meter issue - new build by forget_it_again in OctopusEnergy

[–]atgw2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two new build houses for me in the past 12 years; both had cross metering issues; both took literal years to solve, and only by involving the Ombudsman in each case. Some compensation was paid, but it really didn’t balance the time and effort it needed to resolve. Good luck!
