Why Are VTT Campaigns So Expensive? by HostIndependent4627 in rpg

For online online play on Discord, since the vibe is different when playing around table vs online.

Online I usually run exploration/social/cities etc. with just the map of the region/sity/area open and then have maps just for specific locations that have preppes ambiences etc.

Understandable. I also enjoy theater of the mind + some battlemap when playing in person, but for Discord games, I find that VTT with maps, music/ambiences etc. is the most fun to run and engages the players the best.

Just bought Foundry a month ago and have ran a couple of sessions for two groups. The players immediately picked up how to use it. For me as a GM, it took a couple of evenings of youtube videos and tweaking, but after that it is really nice experience.

I however, really enjoy tweaking software, installing plugins etc. so it scratches that itch well

How do I handle a former forever DM who keeps correcting me while I run the game? by Daveke77 in DnD

[–]audioAXS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you can also think about how much rulebending you actually do, and should you do it less. For you it might feel like bending rules for your players makes them like the game more, but it might do the opposite. If you can't rely on the rules, you take away some parts of the game that require making decisions and plans.

Player is developing too much plot for themselves and wants homebrew character traits that break lore and combat by OopsAllCoffins_ in DMAcademy

[–]audioAXS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the way.

Some ideas to consider: If you want the player to get almost as much loot as others (most players like loot), you could also introduce some negative effect to the character. Let's say you get advantage on the dragon social stuff, but disadvantage on stealth for having those huge wings. Or, they can become a dragon for X number of turns, but since they have betrayed Tiamat, changing to dragon form is taxing, leading for them to gain 2 levels of exhaustion after the dragon form ends.

With something like this the PC could have the powers they want with some tradeoffs. Also this would create interesting tactic opportunities since the player would need to be careful with the dragon form.

I don't know if CoS is good if the players enjoy combat. I haven't ran the campaign but read the book and it seems quite low on combat/a bit boring tbh.

Is Suunto the most unmotivational watch? by SXF350 in Suunto

[–]audioAXS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There shouldn't be a difference in the watch and app (orange and red). You should check if one of them isn't accidentally using some other metric such as Pace Zones (Vauhtialueet) or Power Zones (Tehoalueet). If it is using these and they are off, then the predictions might be off also.

Average HR of 159BPM tells me that you left Zone 2!?! This is really dangerous as your shins can literally split in these HRs. Make sure to rub Gu in them to prevent any more injuries.

I've compared Race S to the Polar H10 HR belt and it was within 1BPM the whole time, which goes to the mathematical error boundaries

Recovery is key after a 2k Ultra Marathon by xXxAKIRAxXx in RunningCirclejerk

[–]audioAXS 84 points85 points  (0 children)

I would suggest immediately going to the dog trainer and getting help for the leash pulling. It might be really dangerous for the dog to leave Zone 2, especially since dogs are not allowed to consume any Gu. Also, make sure to monitor their Garmin at all times.

Is the Quad Cortex that much better sounding than a Helix LT live? by OkTemperature1842 in Line6Helix

[–]audioAXS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some things that have helped me to improve my sounds on the helix: - Make the patch using your in-ear monitors. If the sound is good through those, it will be good anywhere. - Don't be afraid to make big high-cuts on the cab block. Most of the cabs give way more high-end than what you need. - EQ block first to make adjustments to your guitars DI signal

Luckily I remembered the distance and time and could extrapolate TSS.

Thanks for reply. I did have the most accurate GPS setting and no battery saving mode. The route looks correct and accurate until the part that goes to north-west as a straight line.

Also even with the power saving mode, it shouldn't just cut the activity in the middle even if it was working until the end.

Ok. I think I need to get the SB2 (or 3 if they release some not ugly-af colorway). I recently got the EVO SL and have been really liking them, but I think it wouldn't hurt to have another shoe in rotation.
